    Couldn’t find your post about Ange referencing the Emirates Marketing Project game from last season. Couldn’t agree more. Why bring that game up again and yes I see the irony that I have just done the same. But he knows it split the fanbase. The fact that he still doesn’t get shows a lack of character and awareness.

    People have been pointing to injuries all season even though they tend to follow Ange. And some have argued it’s not the system that has contributed to our appalling defensive record. It’s purely a lack of leadership and mistakes from players, not the system.

    Sorry how have I proven your point mate? Yes I stand by that view Dier had become one of the players from the Poch era that had been underperforming for a number of years and needed to go. And I wouldn’t have blamed him if he didn’t want to hang around and warm the bench at his age.

    I would say Ange didn’t handle Dier’s departure in the right way even though Dier was as rightly sold, should have gone years ago.

    You have to be at a certain level in terms of performance to be a leader though Steff. Dier is nowhere near that. Don’t necessarily have to be the best player in the team or squad, but you can’t be near the bottom.

    Im worried we will get sucked down the league again next season. Everton are an exception, but generally teams that spend multiple seasons down the bottom of the table tend to go down eventually, see Villa, Wigan, WBA, Burnley.

    I mean why reopen old wounds again re the Emirates Marketing Project game last season? If he STILL doesn’t understand why the fanbase was conflicted about winning that game then he really is too thick to be a football manager. He managed Celtic ffs! You’d think he would get how rivalries work.
