They've been managed by other greats like Christian Gross and Sergei Rebrov in recent years. Gross won the league and several cups. Probably a poor enough league that he can win it if he can get them to run more than their rivals.

Around 40 million if you include the loan fee. If he steps up over the next couple of seasons it will be a steal if you look at what Liverpool are paying for Wirtz.

    So, what happened today?

I enjoy flying, but the people drive me crazy. You forgot the ones that jump up as soon as the plane has landed and the seatbelt sign has switched off, but do nothing until everyone in front of them has left. If you insist on standing there, get your bags ready and put your jacket on. Why is...

    So, what happened today?

I've been through several big cities in the last few years (Budapest in rush hour, Berlin where I suddenly found myself on checkpoint Charlie because the police had blocked off the other roads for a man hunt or something) and google works a treat. The freedom to go wherever you want each day is...

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

They bring in players from lesser leagues/lower divisions on low wages and unlike us don't give them massive new deals as soon as they've had a good season. It's a risk they're willing to take and part of why Toney took the Saudi offer, he'd been one of the PL's best players while making...

I just want to enjoy watching us play again and not look like we're going to concede every time we lose the ball. Qualify for Europe again next season will probably do for a first season as long as it looks like we're headed in the right direction.

    Set Pieces

He's had an interesting career so far. Spent a lot of time at Malmø where he's had every role imaginable from youth scouting to manager to sporting director. Brief spells at Brentford, Arsenal, Southampton and ManU as set piece coach and an even shorter one as head coach of Lillestrøm in Norway...

Aren't PSG going to this world club crap? Should give a decent head start on our pre season and hopefully our form going into that game.

His first official match will be the super cup final on 13 August. Until then we should just try to enjoy the break.

I'm not buying that we had to throw practically every league match post Christmas. Telling the FBs to play it a little more conservatively would have cost us the EL?

    Ange departs

When we're missing players that often, why couldn't he simply make adjustments to compensate? Why keep trying to play in a way we weren't capable of? He was more than happy to throw it all away once he realised the only thing he could accomplish here was to go for the EL.

Contingency planning : we've found our guy

They used to hit it long towards Toney when they first came up because they were a Championship team trying to stay in the PL and they had a really good striker who could win headers. They don't play anything like that now.

I'm not seeing this ridicule anywhere. Most opposition fans seem quite disappointed we actually sacked him.

Contingency planning : we've found our guy

I'll just be happy not wanting to jam sharp objects into my eyes over the state of the football we're playing. Being able to enjoy football on a weekly basis is more important to me than the slim chance of a cup win.
