    Manager Sack Watch

Will start off well as Forest players will retain some of Nuno's defensive mindset - coming in with the season already underway may even prolong that period as there is less time to work on a big tactical shift with games coming thick and fast.

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

I wonder if the Lewis' were pushing/thinking for Levy to be the non-exec at that point?

    Vinai Venkatesham - CEO

Good/strong communicator but my main takeaway from that is 'business as usual' I wouldn't expect anything different regarding what was said about the Lewis' and their intentions - the proof will be in the pudding on that one.

Someone had to miss out on a CL squad place due to our constraints with the requirements- should we just stop buying players if we're maxed out for numbers?

We absoloutely can compete at the top now given our resources imv - if Liverpool & Arsenal can there's no reason why we can't - we need to be performing well across all footballing departments for that to happen but we are (i believe) on similar financial footing to both when factoring in CL...

It's like some of our fans won't acknowledge good performance or accept any acknowledgement of good performance unless there is a trophy to show for it

Yeah I disagree and think you have taken whatever was said the wrong way, I certainly don't remember any crowing - I'm not even sure what would constitute crowing about a points total 😂

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

This crowing over a points total amounted to a little more than recognising it as something that had happened that is was good sign for where we were and how we were progressing. Like with a lot of your posts you build a strawman argument against an extreme position that no one actually holds

Do Tavistock have that sort of authority over club matters?

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

I think that the talk of this being the end game of what was started back when Charrington was first appointed is probably the truth of the matter - having Levy see the club through the summer transfer window before making the big move is probably the most sensible decision with that in mind and...

It wasn't and i would say that is a reflection of the comparative revenue/spending power of us vs the clubs we faced in those crunch games at those junctures - higher revenues = more money to spend on deeper/stronger squads, surely that's self explanatory?

So if smaller clubs can win trophies against the odds against stronger richer teams where does that leave us with the 'Levy left our managers short" argument regarding why we never turned our multiple final/semi final appearances in to trophy wins?

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

We missed out on the Sky & CL boom in football finances due to (i believe) the fallout from Scholar and the Sugar years - which put us on the outside of the top 4 closed shop that developed - several other big traditional clubs in the same position fell by the wayside - all of which bar Everton...
