2 whole seasons with an injury? I think the truth is he has physically declined a bit. He might well have been carrying an injury for a period but he's not been injured for the entirely of the last two seasons where it's been clear that he is a bit finished physically.

Where was he playing? I know he played striker in the first match

If you look at Sarr's heat map for the same 10n game period it's essentially a mirror but just biased towards the right. We played an inverted triangle with Maddison and Sarr being either side of it.

Like you say he didn't play in the hole. We played an inverted triangle in midfield and Maddison played the left side of the triangle. It's a misconception that he played in the hole, he never did. When Kulu was moved from the right he did indeed play in the hole but Maddison was used differently.

Yes but you can't play a CF who only runs in behind, we are going to have possession at times and he's going to need to be involved in that aspect.

Frank has and will play a high line at times. When Raya was there he would often find himself deep in his half in those games that Brentford controlled. He's not anti a high line it's just not his default stance regardless of outcome. On that note it will be interesting to see how VDV does...

We don't need any signings to achieve what? I think you're overrating the squad a wee bit. Also if Johnson plays striker the ball will co straight back at us constantly because he's not able to hold it up at all.

Been wanting this guy for 3 years. I wonder if it's a bit too late considering the Manchester United interest but would be very happy at him coming in and taking the RWF berth. He's type of player in terms of quality and attributes that this side needs.

Haha I'm very consistent. I don't flip flop. I can can be convinced of changes if changes happen but yeah I'm consistent. 😅

We need a quality right sided player as well, but yes a lot of easy assumptions.

Of course, but the player wages will be by far the largest expense of that bill. So it goes without saying that the estimates from the various websites are grossly incorrect. There is no extra expense that would account for £120m difference.

Sess's best position in the championship was LW.

Honestly I don't have the time to cross reference it but from what I recall ourselves, Arsenal en Liverpool are in similar realms in this regard with us being the lowest, possibly by a margin. The oil clubs don't really care because it's not a concern for them. 😅 I don't really have an issue...

These sources are guesses. The audited accounts are the only accurate source we have. It's factually the case that Liverpool paid 121m more a season than we did. It's not up for debate.

Maybe some have weaponised it, I just know it's always been a key thing for me. Transfer fees have always just been a portion of the debate.

This list is inaccurate, at last count Liverpool's audited wage bill was 121m a year more than our own. There's no way we are paying the same general wages or that we are matching in general after their big two. It just doesn't add up numerically.

Not true. You've literally replied to my posts about this over the years. You're getting old and forgetting. 🤣🤣🤣 And this is just me, I'm sure others have also said the same over the years. 🤣 And this one was from 2019

I look forward to having a tactical astute and flexible coach. It will be nice to have someone who actually plans for the opposition strengths and weaknesses, someone who can think on his feet and adapt to an ongoing situation. I actually do think Frank is gonna be a very good appointment.

They are better coached and play in more suited systems.

Hes trying to mimick him and at times that's limiting his game right now because he doesn't pass when he should, he tries to beat his man when there are better options and he constantly shoots. It feels like he's watched the 2nd half of CR7's career and is trying to be that when he's not taking...
