    The 'value' could be there from the sellers pov (obviously we are not privvy to their input costs), it's just mismatched with our earnings input. One does indeed have to think about opening your wallet on ALL occasions these days. And that situation has been rising up thru the middle classes...

    The housing market is a game of economics....and it's diverging economics at the moment. Buyers have less buying power and raised mortgage costs (plus the CofL generally) and builders have raised costs across the board. It's a reflection of many sectors....people's disposable income...
