It appears you are clearly mistaken as subsequent posts have clearly shown. You may want everyone to share your views but you will find that they don't. You haven't shared your 'ideologies' but I'd hazard a guess that they won't benefit the country moving forward as you are backing a party that...

I try take a less tabloid approach to it all than you. I'd only be desperate if complacency and stupidity allowed the good work that has been clearly carried out to be undone, as it was under the last Champagne Socialist government. The Coalition Government are in power because they won the...

Most of them are a concern. :) It is worrying though that there are genuinely some people out there of moderate intelligence who would invite these pretend socialists back into the fold after what they presided over last time. It is akin to getting a tradesman back in to your home to do some...

Good to know that the Labour leader has absolutely no understanding of the tax system. His latest smear campaign is to accuse anyone related to the Conservative Party (i.e. those who have previously funded it) of tax avoidance. Ermm.. Ed there is nothing wrong with avoiding tax, it is both...

OMT Tottenham Hotspur Vs Liverpool*** OFFICIAL

Rose definitely needs to temper his rash challenges. He could have gone last night quite easily with the rate Dowdy was dropping cards. That said we were comfortable at 2-2. Liverpool take two men wide and we 'amble' over. I sensed an issue coming. Someone switches off for a second, lets their...

    Six Nations

It was a great game and a good performance by the English in the second half. Alas it was tainted slightly by the nonsense in the lead-up to the match. It appears that it is standard practice to provide video evidence before a game to alert the referee to certain tactics. Once one starts, no...

How long would it take a footballer to earn your salary?

Still a him. Just without my former male username. Still awaiting an answer from the Mods from 2011 :)

Nothing really 'snide' about the comments. They were actually quite clear and direct. You would be amazed at what you learn about people over a few hours in a casualty waiting room. Especially from those happy to broadcast their stories repeatedly at the desk for all to hear. A generalisation...

If you feel that strongly why not move and campaign? It might sound flippant but my vote by the same token counts for very little as I live in what is a safe Conservative seat. If you wanted to vote for someone in opposition there is little point doing so within a constituency where you can't...

We should run a small competition and see if anyone can name the ex-politician who costs the tax payer the most? Anyone...anyone ..anyone? Seems odd that a 'socialist' would want to cost the British tax payer more than the current PM?? Oh come on.. is anyone genuinely thinking of voting for...

I don't ask to be seen as credible by you? I don't even know you and you don't know me. I try not to deal in generalisations. I do however gladly offer my opinion on something I know about in my local area. When I was in my local casualty, which is newly built and a vast improvement on the...

My two pence worth is that when the boat is being steadied the last thing you do is mutiny and give the helm to people who have spent the best part of the last 4 years simply trying to divide the country. To drag the country down, to replace optimism with pessimism, to perpetuate greed, to...

I don't think that Vote For Policies is up to date. In fact I know it isn't as it talks of raising thresholds to levels the current coalition have already brought in. It was an interesting exercise but the reality is the results are skewed. People likely to take the time to bother with it, will...

When I parked it on the soft peaty South Uist roadside, I had intended the outcome to be a little different ;)

    optimism

The principle difference for me was I was confident we would score, that we would get something for our dominance and possession. I also felt we could hang on to the lead at the end of the game.

    Arsenal - match ratings

Mostly 10s. Although my str**m was a bit blurry. Even those who weren't 10s played with passion, fire and ran until the end. We could have asked no more.

    Who would you support?

We drove through Tottenham once to visit my ailing Great Grandma. My dad who didn't really support anyone pointed out the stadium. The next day Spurs were on the telly. Not long after they were on TOTP. The choice was obvious.

How long would it take a footballer to earn your salary?

Hush..hush. We don't want threads alerting people to the fact we have footballers earning £50k a week, £100k a week or even £250k a week. We are far more interested in hearing about foodbanks, the cost of living crisis, millionaires (disgusting..) and those abhorrent fat cats, yeah those total...

    *** Official Film Thread ***

Looking forward to seeing Boyhood at some stage this week. Foxcatcher was brilliant. The tension created by Carrell on screen was very unnerving. I thought Mark Ruffalo was brilliant and a surprisingly good performance by Channing Tatum although I can see why he was overlooked. At times it...
