    Sandro Tonali Official

I have been saying all pre season that this squad is better suited to a 433 until the 10s are back fit and that Tonali is not a 6. Going back to the original point I made it’s not about Bentancur’s individual performances being bad as I stated in the original post, it’s the fact Tonali is being...

    Sandro Tonali Official

You have not debated anything, you have just imagined that at some point I have said Bentancur’s individual performances have been bad which I haven’t and hence you completely missed the point.

I see my point your just demonstrating your thick as fudge and can’t see past Bentancur’s individual performances.

    Sandro Tonali Official

Tonali is being asked to play as a deep playmaker which is not his game, he is playing that role because Bentancur is next to him, I agree that Fernandes next to Bentancur would be a better partnership than Tonali and Bentancur but Fernandes as the 6 and Tonali as the ball carrying box to box 8...

    Sandro Tonali Official

It’s like speaking to a fudging brick wall, what part is difficult to get into your skull that Bentancur’s role is effecting both Tonali and Fernandes and hence the entire midfield dynamic, for the third time at no point have I stated that Bentancur has been playing crap.

    Sandro Tonali Official

You are completely missing the point, at no point have I stated that Bentancur has been bad but Tonali has been crap because he has been asked to play as a deep lying playmaker to accommodate Bentancur, Fernandes has been crap because he has been asked to play as a 10 to accommodate Bentancur...

    Sandro Tonali Official

Your completely missing the point, it’s not about Bentancur’s individual performance, either today or at any point this season, him being in the team completely handicaps both Tonali and Fernandes because he is the only one playing his natural role so of course he is going to look better, it’s...

    Sandro Tonali Official

The problem is Bentancur, this isn’t a knock on his individual performances, it’s the fact he handicaps both Tonali and Fernandes. When Bergvall replaced him today Tonali almost instantly sprinted into life, Tonali is NOT a deep lying playmaker, he is a box to box ball carrier, Bergvall took up...

Hallelujah, Savio, Maddison and Kidus all in their correct positions.

***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Everton***

By bringing Fernandes back to 6 it releases Tonali further forward which is what he is best at, Tonali next to Bentancur is a total waste because he is being asked to play as the creative 6 when his strength is box to box running, Fernandes back there does the job of both Tonali and Bentancur to...

***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Everton***

The most blindingly obvious thing from that half is that continuing to play Fernandes as a 10 is a monumental waste of his talent. HT subs I would make are Bergvall or Gallagher for Bentancur and move Fernandes back to the 6, Kudus for Solanke with Savio switched to the left and Marmoush up top.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

I saw earlier this summer that they have to move back out of the Nou Camp for a few months at some point in 2027.

    Mykhailo Mudryk

    Can we send him back?
  15. Yiddo.1882

    Dejan Kulusevski

Possibly, but I was thinking there may be some behind closed doors matches arranged that we will never officially know about to keep the players not called up ticking over. It just seems logical to me to ease him back in that manner, or a u21 appearance or two.

I think it will be after the international break, it’s a 3 week gap after Villa to Man U.

***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v The Garibaldis (will Marinakis eat his own club with a cuppa?), Sat Sept 5th, City Ground, 3pm***

Even if Williams didn’t touch it with his hand the ball was so low that the simple act of even attempting to head it should have been considered dangerous play and the goal disallowed.

    Sandro Tonali Official

On paper Tonali and Fernandes compliment each other perfectly and are the counter balance, I think a lot of people are completely underestimating the defensive contributions Fernandes will make while his passing range is a huge step up over Bantancur. He was being loosely linked with PSG...
