    That was an achievement. Yes even i think that and we are building up to that level but it won't done in one season. I accept that and understand it. It's gonna be a turbulent season and we have to get on board the boat and roll with waves that are coming.

    People forgetting he told us himself at the end of the season that he only had 11/12 players that were good enough. He clearly wasn't lying about how he felt about the squad quality. Now it's going to take time to get it all to gel.

    Not quite. He's much improved but the initial Conte era Bentancur was still a level ahead where he is now. His passing was better, more incisive but also more controlling. I think the responsibility of having to battle constantly against 3s seemed to pull the best out of him.

    Very good point, Marmoush is closer to Pedro in stature and play style than Pedro is similar to Haaland, Isak, Ekitike, Kane etc.

    Yeah basically this. It's weird how we got gaslit into pretending the latter part of Ange's first season and the whole of the 2nd season was actually good football but now we have an actual decent performance but without the result people are losing it.

    The run around English player role. He has a distinct lack of quality in all on the ball areas. I'm sure he can be useful in a tight game that we are trying to shut up shop in but that's such a specific circumstance it doesn't feel like it's worth wasting a squad place just for that.
