I think we’ll loan Takai and that’s it…. I don’t really consider players like Dorrington as first team players, nobody will notice if he goes or stays.

I don’t think we would go into a season without any physical number 9 options in the squad

It It’s my silly game to say that I think signing players who have already proven they can handle the pace and physicality of the PL is less of a gamble? I’m not sure what even makes that a game, let alone a silly one? I thought the silly game was naming selective players to try to...

OK so you answered one question, you don’t feel the gamble is any different. I disagree with you but you’re entitled to your view. I’m not trying to shut down a conversation, just asking a question (that you have avoided). Let me ask ithe question a different way. Why do you think De Zerbi...

So you think it is an equal gamble to sign a player that has never played PL football or to sign a player who has played PL football and shown they can cope with the pace and physicality? Do you think De Zerbi shares your view?

Maybe we were asking for £25m and not €25m

Top scorer for the season, his goal won us the Europa league and we sold him for only a small loss. Our top scorer last season A player that looked pretty good in his first season under Ange and has been difficult to judge since due to his injuries last season To continue your silly game…...

Perhaps, but do you think it is more of a gamble to sign somebody who has proven they can cope with the physicality of the PL or not?

Hello Daniel. (The problem is that when your aim is to just qualify and you’re competing against teams who’s aim is to win then you soon find yourself no longer competing).

I’d argue that this is less of a gamble, signing players who have already proven they can cope with PL football.

Two players who had never played in the PL. This is very different from that.

I think Marmoush is instead of Kroupi - I posted a few possible options in the striker thread before we’d had a real link to Marmoush and said that of those options Marmoush would be the most similar kind of player for us to bring in if our original first choice was Kroupi.

Maybe they don’t care about the valuation? Maybe they believe that having a net worth of £5 billion is enough and they’d rather have some fun and leave a legacy of trophies instead of trying to get their net worth to £6 or £7 billion?

Plus the amortised amounts from our last 4 years of spending…. (Can anyone be bothered to go Transfermarkt and work it out?

£59m turned down. £60m now bid and also turned down. Brighton want close to £70m apparently

How do you know that? I agree it is a well paid job, (the highest paid director in football in fact (at least it was when Levy did it). If Vinai wants to keep that well paid job then he needs to be on message.

I don’t think Levy was running Joe’s strategy, I think Levy was running Levy’s strategy. I’m convinced that Joe liked and agreed with Levy’s strategy but the fact the new broom got rid of Levy to change strategy is a clear indication that the previous strategy was Levy’s (otherwise why get rid...

    Levy's Plan

i think Poch could’ve been REALLY successful if Spurs had a better CEO at the time. I would probably turn your question round and say do you think Pochettino was the architect of Levy’s success? (Imagine the size of the debt pile without Poch’s 4 ahead of schedule CL qualifications)
