    rule changes prevent a lot of time wasting next season and less chances for arteta to give instructions during game pauses. also i don't think guimares is a system type of player as opposed to playing on instinct. maybe arteta will favour a bit more risk over control to accomodate him. still...

    its not surprising that players recovering from serious knee injuries develop hip or ankle or other "complementary" injuries as the body overcompensates for weakness in an unbalanced way. for maddison its his hip - and i expect to see similar minor problems for kulu, xavi and odobert too.

    the attack has been a problem when we sold johnson without a replacement and kudus got injured in Jan, more than half a year ago. perhaps the there was/is a hope that a couple of those injured would be available, however.... setbacks to solanke and maddison. no dates have been given for kulu...
