***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa, Sun May 3rd, 7pm, Villa Park ***

Feeling weirdly calm about this, because I see some patches of a plan in motion. Almost forgot how that feels. Still, a Villa victory would secure their CL spot so you never know.

Will they? As mentioned, they looked pretty much exactly like us (up until now), and we didn't always better a crap half. If we just can keep our heads cool, we will be fine.

Actually, looking at Villa is like looking at us the last one and a half season. Basic mistakes, poor press, misplaced 5-yard passes, dubious tackles, no apparent game plan, losing every rebound/second ball.

As he should. Since Kane and Son, no one shoots from outside the box unless 3-0 down in the final 10 minutes.

Even amongst all the goodness so far, the best has to be that we finally force the opposition to make mistakes.

No, but you can press a little, once in a while. Organized press, not running headlessly after the ballplayer.

Richie on the head of course! Early days and accounting for the new manager bounce, but looking at the determination, pressing, passing and positioning the first 30, you have to wonder what the heck Frank (and Tudor, but he doesn't count really as he's useless) has been doing for half a season.

When lacking a proper creator/distributor, Bentancur isn't the worst stand-in actually.

YES!! I've said a million times: shoot! Just bloody shoot when possible, not the "Ange-dribble the ball into the net"-crap.

    A Moral Dilemma For you

The question is of such a dubious character that even the server tries to wash it's hands of it

It's so tiring having to pack every single opinion that isn't everything is awesome in, he's a great guy, has a beautiful wife, works hard, eats well, never swears, gives to charity, has nice teeth, goes to church every Sunday, pets kittens, pays taxes but... I don't think he's such a good...

You have consistently policed the board and accused several posters of being crap fans for voicing critical opinions on a discussion forum for at least 10-15 years now, maybe more. I bet you have spent more time putting down other posters than discussed actual football.

Even now, on the brink of relegation, after finishing 17th last season and breaking negative records by the hour in a historically bad streak, you pull that "some fans" "bad fans" cr*p. What is it us "bad fans" can't see in this stahlwart of a captain that you "best fans" so obviously...

Add to that, he's enjoying very little respect from the referees, not one or two, but most of them.

Sometimes it looks like captains are chosen as some kind of honorary title. To me, a captain has a distinct role, both communicative and motivational. I don't care if someone is the most senior or has been at the club the longest, or even if he's nowhere near the best player in the team, as long...

I wanted to say the exact same thing in the match thread, but thought it was a bit harsh. But yeah, we are knee deep in a relegation battle, losing our so called captain, and all he does is lurk out of the pitch like this is all about him. To me, that's no captain.

    +++ OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland 12th April 2026 +++

According to my supah secrit sauces they have. Joke aside, the Premier League is a product. A product needs engagement and controversy to make it marketable. If Arsenal wins the league the same season Tottenham is relegated, that would the biggest coincidence in decades. We have previously had...

Yeah, but at the same time, we've had a bad reputation for not being patient with managers so there was probably a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation going on. And it's far from cheap firing managers mid-contract, so you can't do that 2-3 times a season. But there's no culprit...
