    I don’t think now is the time to be demoting the club captain, especially as he is about to return. Also think Romero is the lone voice in the dressing room capable of uniting the team, regardless of what we think of him as fans. But I don’t want to see Vic or VdV wearing the armband again.

    I hope you’re right and I’m wrong, but I tend to judge players by comparing their strengths and weaknesses, and while he is decent at a couple things, I just don’t see the area of his game which is going to propel him into a starting XI type of player.
