    Rodrigo Bentancur

You're right mate. These two have great synergy. Just think Bentancur has that touch of quality AND on a consistent basis that elevates players around him... and it definitely seems to raise PEH's level to my eyes at least!
  2. ledley's knee injections

    Rodrigo Bentancur

PEH looks like a better player next to Bentancur, and that isn't a coincidence. We need to buy more players of Rodrigo's level in general, but especially with his desire to take the ball & the ability with it once received. Top class.

Champions League 22/23 - Round of 16: AC Milan

You're not wrong mate. I was at the away game when we lost 4-1 but went through on aggregrate. I thought the stadium was an absolute dump - from what I recall they didn't have seats in the toilets, just a hole in the ground WTF  - and there's huge pillars as part of which that netting...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Olympic Marseille ***

Perisic and Sess swapped sides for the moment
  5. ledley's knee injections

    Rodrigo Bentancur

100%. I've always called players like Bentancur, "little touches" players, they shine most when you just watch the game & appreciate football. They are complete opposite of a match of a day player who only looks good on highlights packages. These types consistently shows little touches of...

    Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Yep, I've said I think he can be upgraded before... and maybe he can... but he was absolutely class tonight. All over the pitch, won all his duels, intercepted a lot, and kept the ball moving relaly nicely. He should definitely be part of our first team squad moving forward and it's clear he's...

    Tottenham v Villa OMT

fudge I love Romero. He's a Rolls-Royce of a player in style and ability - insane. Reminds me of Ledley. But he's also tough as motherfudging nails - classic hard cynical street fighter like the South American cliché / stereotype goes. What a player.
  8. ledley's knee injections

    Dele Alli

Sad moment for sure. Dele's first few years with us were obviously incredible. Hunger, movement, aggression, humour and end product -- an end product machine. I'll try to just focus on these for my memories of Dele - he had a great run and was a big part of a quality Spurs team. Those days...
  9. ledley's knee injections

    Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Yep. Been critical of PEH in recent weeks... tonight he was very good though and had a big influence on the result. Not just with his general performance but in the dying moments he really nailed it. Fantastic chipped ball for Doherty. Then at the death he showed composure to stay on his feet &...

    Ryan Sessegnon

Yep I thought Sess had a really good well-rounded game. Looked confident. Physically strong, not beaten in any duel that I can recall. Solid on the ball too and got forward productively. And this is all most impressive cos he was up against Salah & TAA who have decimated a lot of left-sided...

The most annoying commentator in the world who is a complete Bell End thread

Peter... F***kin... Drury/Dreary. The absolute worst!!!
  12. ledley's knee injections

    Ruben Neves

Refuse to believe that tweet is true, does anyone have any idea bout the source? He's obviously absolutely class, a significant improvement on most of our CM options (Tanguy has equivalent level ability, maybe even greater IMO) and exactly what we need in CM - heads up intelligent progressive...
  13. ledley's knee injections

    Davinson Sanchez

I thought he looked so good and confident out there. This feels a bit like hyperbole due to the fact it was 'only' Watford (who nonetheless played pretty well), but his game yesterday combined the best bits of Ledley (interceptions, pace, srong in the air, dominated every opponnent) and Toby...

Who is the best player we have sold?

Can't comment on Hoddle / Jennings etc, before my time (I'm 35). My vote is Luka, 100% certified elite, world class talent, who's proven his ability to run football matches at the highest level for his whole career. He was unreal for us, never had a bad game. Second place is Bale, third Gazza.
  15. ledley's knee injections

Man of the match - Arsenal (A)

Yep agree with everyone who voted for Moura. He showed fight, he kept showing, he kept running at them, drew fouls and used the ball well. Can't think of many others who did any of that, Lamela to some degree + an exceptional goal, but Moura clearly heads and shoulders above any other.
  16. ledley's knee injections

Man of the match - Crystal Palace (H)

Some excellent performances in this match. Voted for Kane though, he was unreal. Obviously his first goal is a contender for goal of the season. But thought his all-round game was sensational today, particularly that passing game. long, short, mid range - doesn't matter to him, he just found...
  17. ledley's knee injections

Man of the match - Chelsea (H)

Voted Hugo. he's the only who really deserves a shout Don't think Aurier was terrible either, and Lamela definitely made a difference when he came on.

    ***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Cheat$ki***

This is embarrassing. We look like a league one team who have turned up in the PL.
  19. ledley's knee injections

Man of the match - Sheffield Utd (A)

He looked so good. liked how composed he was. Big and quick and good on the ball. Promising signs. Ndombele clear MOTM for me though - bossed the park with his range of skills, great work rate, and unreal goal.
  20. ledley's knee injections

    Tanguy Ndombele

Ndomballer. We've all been able to see see his touch, dribbling, body feints, general sheer tekkers. You'd have to be blind not to see this, evident even when he's clearly not been match fit. The quality of his passing has been obvious also - often forward, often creative, and if not he goes...
