***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur Football Club vs AFC Bournemouth***

Hughton was far more two-footed than most. He also had Tony Galvin roaring outside him, allowing him to invert more often than not/swap with Galvin when necessary. He was my favorite player alongside Glenn during those years, what a player!

I think in light of the conversations I've tried to have -the balanced ones- this is exceptionally unfair. Do I also have to remind you of this thread? Here, just in case...I started it on Christmas Eve (LOL)...it has been buried since. EDIT: I had to re-read that, as initially, it felt you...

Indeed, that is sadly the era we live in. I'll say I have repeatedly tried to understand and cede discussions as to what is going on, whilst maintaing my personal opinion that I do not like the overall way we are playing football. Of all the nights though, tonight I do have a larger degree of...

I agree, however we have 2 wins in 12, mounting injuries too. We at least have to be aware that right now, getting the necessary wins is not going to be a cakewalk. All of a sudden the West Ham game looks absolutely massive. We simply cannot afford anything less than three points in that...

Again, and not to belabour the point but it seems to have been missed, I started a thread about this exact series of issues a few weeks back.

It's just ugly all round. There has rarley been any balance to the discussions around Thomas Frank, and much of that is probably not his fault at all (the Sissoko Rule again!)... The world is generally feeling pretty stressed and toxic right now, so football as a last escape, well, when it isn't...

You'll remember a few weeks back I started a thread to somewhat offer some mitigation for what Frank is going through. I have not been shy in saying I do not like his style of football, but I am also able to see that he is also in an unfortunate situation.

Certainly a question worth asking, but seeing as our CBs are starters for their nations and our FBs internationals too, I'd say there's more to it. The keeper is certainly suspect in several ways. I still think with those two CBs playing the same amount of games last season as this, we'd have...

I wholly agree, he is absolutely behaving like a VP of something and not a leader. People bang on about his goon-time; he had a stong DoF there in Edu, whose relationship with Arteta was key in them surviving. He is relying on the same dynamic with Frank and Lange IMO; a dangerous strategy.

As a philosophy and way of being, it eternally works for me. If you want another approach, pray for some Petro-dollared fudgeheads to storm in and sportwash viaus, because as far as I can see (with the passable exception of Liverpool) those teams have swept up for approximately two decades (the...

YOU do. Maybe some of us do. Johan Lange doesn't. It would be tantamount to admitting he got something wrong himself, and he won't do that without a fight. I think a lot of our issues go back to Lange. He is driving our identity, Frank is just his employee...

Behave @Raziel . @Finney Is Back has consistently been one of the more articulate observers of truths here. In isolation -and meted against what we have seen- I think he is absoloutely right about tonight. Again, given we are where we are, it's probably best to try and see any green shoots...

In a nutshell this. whenever we drop back and look to contain, unless we stodge up the middle with an extra Cb in Danso, we seem to give up crosses or shots. Players are definitely switching off too. I was also happy at how we started, and in fairness was happy that at 1-2 we didn't collapse...

Come in Billy, such a cheap response. Whenever within a sniff of a final, or in one, you do whatever you can to win it. Overall, it is a philosophy I believe in. How about you?

Really good until we forgot how to defend. Ironically, we were sitting deeper than we had been for both goals, particularly the second.

Another disparaging, derogatory response. Regardless... 1) I won't remember it, I'll continue to believe in it as the way football, and this club, should be. 2) Of course! Win semis and finals in any way possible, especially with so many key players injured.

“The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It is nothing of the kind. The game is about glory, it is about doing things in style and with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom.” Danny Blanchflower Never forget...

I didn't blame Frank mate, I stated that as I understood it, Eze was never at the top of Frank's 'wanted' list.
