***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur vNorwich City, Sunday 23rd February 16:00

Norwich are playing better than their results suggest, though they're struggling to find the net. Last home game they held Man C to a nil nil draw and had the chances to win it. So we must not be complacent, this could blow up in our face if we don't get the approach right. Support for Hughton...

    Our strikers next season

Remember there's a tidal wave of new TV money coming. We can afford to splash out even without CL.

    OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur Vs Dnipro

Got through the tie without fielding a particularly strong side, only one down going into return leg. A couple of players got valuable game time having returned from injury. I think Sherwood got it spot on. It's about getting through over two legs while managing resources. Not putting your...

    Our strikers next season

A lot will depend on whether we're in the CL. Forget getting a big name in without it.

    OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur Vs Dnipro

After watching the CL games this week, with three of the biggest teams in Europe plus that other lot, I just can't get excited about a game against Dnipro. This just isn't much of a competition anymore. You don't play a decent side until you come up against one which has dropped out of the CL...

Full backs - when are ours going to deliver?

None of our fullbacks looked good in AVB's system, the high pressing line constantly leaving them in no mans land when we lost the ball. Walker looks a far better now he's playing a more conventional attacking fullback role. His crossing needs to improve but defensively he's not bad. Rose is...

Nice to win but not at the expense of having players unavailable for league matches coming up.

The best Spurs team of the Premier League era

That side was great, but King didn't start enough games for us to reach our potential. Having to constantly change our defensive lineup was a major weakness and cost us a lot of points. I believe the current squad has the potential to be at least as good.

    Tim Sherwood…gone \o/

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach Tim's early selections were heavily constricted by injuries. He still hasn't had he's first choice 11 available, probably only 8 of them in any one game. Looking at the selection for each game given the squad available I don't think he could have done much better...

What should guarantee Sherwood a new extended contract in the summer?

The 18 month contract suggests to me top 4 isn't a requirement this season. It will be next. If we're one of the form teams for the rest of the season then he'll have done enough. That might not achieve CL qualification, that might be out of our hands. We've played well at times and poorly at...

    Tim Sherwood…gone \o/

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach It's still early days, only just starting to get close to his first choice line up. Get Verts and Kaboom up to speed at the back and The Beast back anchoring the midfield, then Tim will have the solid foundation for the attacking game he wants us to play. He's...

    Official Kabooooooom Thread

We looked anything but solid at the back last night, it's the right partnership, but neither looks fully match fit yet. They were good but not great. Only a brilliant performance from Lloris kept them out. Good to get a game under their belts, hopefully this partnership will continue and in time...

    Tim Sherwood…gone \o/

Re: Tim Sherwood - Head Coach It would have been easy to looked at the result rather than the performance against Everton and not made many changes. But all credit to Tim he knew changes were needed and made them. Looked a better side lady night, though the opposition didn't look committed...

The 2013-14 " Lawro the Twunt says..." thread

Hull have been crap when I've seen them recently, I don't expect too much from them on Sunday. A win by at least a couple of goals. Nice run of games coming up against teams that have gone off the boil. February should be really good for us.

Fourth - who are we going to beat to it?

Let's just see what happens when we are able to pick a full strength team. I'd agree the Liverpool side that played against Everton is stronger than the side we had out last night. But that is nowhere near our best 11. Ultimately I think the difference between us will be us having to play EL...
