There are two very big IFs there.... Perhaps things are now different but under our previous decision maker the manager would not last at Spurs if he'd had the second season that Arteta had at Woolwich.

Every single corner sees players not looking at the ball, when trying to mark/block opposition runners coming from a far post position.

Part of the problem here is that Romero is the only player who attempts to (or is capable of?) or perhaps is allowed to? play a forward pass into a central area. Every other pass we make is backwards, sideways or goes to a player out wide. The easiest players to press are wide players because...

That player could be Archie Gray.

That is such an overly simplistic way of looking at it.

The NHS should operate like a members club. There should be certain rules that one has to adhere to in order to gain and keep one's membership. 3 missed appointments - lose membership. Not fully vaccinated - lose membership. Physical or verbal abuse of NHS staff - lose membership. We could go...

Wonder what his thoughts on 'earn a 6 figure salary but "have no moral duty to move out of my council house" Bob Crow' are?

I went for a blood test at my local centre a couple of years ago. I was really impressed at how easy it was to book an appointment slot. I got there a bit early and sat in the reception room waiting for my name to be called out. Prior to my name being called out at least 6 names were called...

So you're using landmass owned as your barometer of wealth and you want to impose a tax on land? Land is already considered part of the estate for inheritance tax so is already taxed that way. Of course certain types of land get tax relief (one can get agricultural property relief or business...

He has taken them from 8th place to being favourites for the title. I know it hurts to have to admit it to ourselves but he has done a very good job indeed there, especially at integrating new players.

Indeed. Teams aren't dropping deep against us they are instead pressing us and penning us in. Then through a combination of having so many men behind the ball, not really having any set pattern of play and also having a team that seems to play in a horse shoe type way with no penetrating...

He has bought very well and players come into their team knowing the role they have to play. They also have created good squad harmony amongst the really good competition for first team places. Yes they have spent a lot of money, but they have improved with each chunk of money they have spent.

Poch didn't sack himself at all. The atmosphere had not got toxic against the manager on many of the occasions when managers were sacked - that's been done to death on here previously.

I don't think the manager or the club were ever going to come out and actually say it. The manager's actions showed it reasonably clearly IMO.

I think Arteta is proving himself a top manager. He has gradually built a fine team there that can win games in various different ways. I really hope it all fails spectacularly for them but think they will win the league this year and also have a good chance of winning the CL.

The problem with the whole piece about 'giving the manager time' is that we all know it doesn't happen, especially at our football club. If a manager is doing poorly at Spurs then the tradition has always been that the board will fire him and replace him. If Pochettino can be sacked a dozen...

I don't think Arsenal had a feeling of snobbery about Emery at all. I just think they didn't like the fact that we were flying under Pochettino and they'd fallen from their peak Wenger years.

IMO these two things contradict each other.... If not getting much time between games to work on things then surely better to try to instill one style of play first before looking to keep on making changes depending on the opposition? That can surely come later?
