    There is another chap (79) i see in my closest pub. Never married or had children and goes in there 5 days a week (closed the other 2 days) for lunch. He says the staff are the closest thing to family that he has. They treat him well but always sits on his own. I make a point of going in there...

    There is no smoke without fire! I'm like a magnet for these people. Wouldn't have it any other way though. Met all sorts of 'interesting' characters over the years. I always talk to the elderly if they are on their own, they may not have spoken to a real person in days.
