Right now yes I’d agree. But Vicario is very upgradable.

But Asian and Australian football isn’t anywhere near the standard of European football. I want someone who is the most qualified and has a track record at the best standard of football. We know Munn hasn’t had a job at this level before and to pretend it isn’t a big step is not helpful. Like...

Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

I worked in a company where 4 people fasted during Ramadan one year and they all had sick days over the course of the period they fasted. May not be connected but it must be brutal in the summer months. Mandating that you can’t fast is a bit weird though, and wrong.

I see the argument for experience but ultimately it comes down to can he make an impact on the pitch. It reminds me of when people said Jordan Henderson should be in the England squad but he’s a good character to have around the place and Roy Keane was like why? Does he do card tricks?
  5. Jurgen the German

Based on the fact that he hasn’t had a similar type of role in a more high profile league before.

    So, what happened today?

Yeah. Cancer Research ran a campaign a few years ago highlighting how obesity was a major factor that led to many forms of cancer but they got told off for “fat shaming”. I’m guessing they should shut up and not try and help people reduce the risk of getting a life threatening illness because it...

    So, what happened today?

Went into my local Nike store today, how long have fat/obese mannequins been a thing in shops now? I get that inclusion is big now but I always thought of Nike primarily as a fitness company, they now focus a lot on lifestyle as well. But shouldn’t a FITNESS company encourage people to be you...

United and Chelsea haven’t got a great track record in recent years with keepers but Raya has nailed down the no.1 spot at Arsenal for 2 seasons.

    Scott Munn

I think the point is he’s not proven himself at a decent standard of football. So it’s a BIG step up to go from Australia to a top 6 ish calibre PL side.

    ENIC

He was 1 in 2 for an about a 15 game stretch one season. He’s not a 1 in 2 striker over the length of his career.
  11. Jurgen the German

    Guglielmo Vicario

He’s prone to errors even when not under pressure. He can’t catch the ball regardless of whether there are players around him or not. We should have gone for Kelleher, £18m is a flippin bargain.

    Son Heung-Min

Not sure anyone would pay big bucks for him anymore given his age and his reliance on pace. The finishing has also started to decline. The issue is we need at least 3 new forwards. Can’t see us challenging any higher than top 6 with the current crop we have.
  13. Jurgen the German

    Richarlison

Yeah we can’t carry him any longer. Although with Ange gone it will be interesting to see how many injuries we get next season and whether it was his methods that were a factor or if it’s a deeper problem that we need to fix.

Just watched The Last of Us season 2 episode 2. Did not see that coming! It’s made think twice about finishing the season now as I feel it may have jumped the shark. Won’t spoil it and I know they’re trying to be faithful to the game but it’s a risky move.

Finished Daredevil Born Again this week. As good as the Netflix series, if not better. I think it benefits from only having 9 episodes as opposed to 13 in a season. The kill scene in episode 9 was one of the most brutal kills I’ve seen!

It’s nice to see Hugh Grant playing bastards now as he was typecast as the charming British guy for the early part of his career. I enjoyed that film too.

Finally saw Sinners last week and loved it! One of the best films I’ve seen this year. Reminded me of From Dusk Till Dawn and Mississippi Burning.

    Trans stuff

Tough one but I’d say still it shouldn’t be allowed. I’d be willing to bet people feel differently in private but go along with it in public.

    Trans stuff

I see no issue from a fairness point of view. If anything, the trans athlete is more at risk potentially by having the frame of a female and competing against biological males so it’s the opposite problem of when a trans women competes against women. The fairness and safety of ALL athletes...
