    Tottenham Hotspur V IF Elfsborg

Massive risk though. If we drop into the play offs do we play the kids in those two games as well and basically write off the Europa? Best to get it done on Thursday with a strongish team and not have those two extra games

... will not be even close to the team we play, or should be playing

    Richarlison

I don't see it as negative, just finding a reason why Ange is reluctant to play players such as Lankshear, Olusesi etc except for the odd 5-10 min cameo. I'm not moving any goalposts, just saying success in an under 21 tournament doesn't mean they're ready for the huge step up into PL football...

    Richarlison

I guess so, success at that level doesn't always equate to being good enough in an elite league. Similarly to Abbott, Donley etc doing well in the lower leagues doesn't mean they're destined to make it in the PL

    Richarlison

I agree to an extent but how can we claim these youngsters are successful? What have they done to be given that accolade?! Ange may or may not be a good manager, that has been debated a lot elsewhere but I'm sure he's not stupid and if we need a goal and he's not bringing Lankshear on until the...

    Richarlison

He has blooded some youth which says a lot about the other youth to which you're probably referring. I would love to see Lankshear start up front on Thursday and it makes sense to do that but if he doesn't then they'll be a reason for that. This free hit you refer to, if he does start Lankshear...

Cann we scrape one more win?

the bookmakers think we'll be ok, they have us at around 30/1, same as west ham, to go down. Think that's a bit high tbh but I'm sure they know better than me. Interestingly they have city at around 15/1

Cann we scrape one more win?

True. I’m just trying to make myself a bit better. If the last three matches were, say, Liverpool, Chelsea and forest I would be on much stronger stuff than my glass of white

Cann we scrape one more win?

I’ve just spent an unhappy few minutes looking at our remaining fixtures to work out where points might be coming from. Obviously saints and Ipswich stand out but also two of our last three matches are at home and against palace and Brighton both of whom may have nothing to play for

Cann we scrape one more win?

To be honest, I’ve been a spurs fan for 40 odd years and I’ve never gone into a game expecting us to win

    Sleep problems

if tea works then unless there's a reason not to drink it just before sleep then do that! my brother had similar for years - either couldn't get to sleep or would wake up 2/3 am and not get back to sleep. He went to see a sleep specialist which helped him a lot, basically got him to cut...

    Financial cost of relegation?

This has turned into a very profitable post for me. Providing of course we start climbing the table which may prove to be the stumbling block

    Financial cost of relegation?

lol, I'm not saying we will be (backtracking furiously...) but I think it's more likely we'll be heading up the table by then than in a relegation scrap. I'll take that drink regardless please, and a smoked salmon bagel

    Financial cost of relegation?

I don't think this thread is necessary until the end of Feb by which time we play four teams currently below us (including United!) We could feasibly change the title to financial implications of sneaking top 4 by then...
