how did we end up with our home-grown problem? i know we have limited funds but surely could have planned to recruit according to already published guidelines?

very similar but a level up from maddision imo. might irk some fans because he is one footed - but he is able to turn both ways effortlessly, has great passing range including an eye for a through pass, and has some goals in him too. good competition for maddison who continues to be inconsistent

    Mathys Tel

speaking of johnson, he is definitely ahead of the learning curve and will still be first choice right or centre attacker under TF.

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Good interview ...TF comes across as a very decent and sincere person. Words straight from his heart, no cliches no proverbs no stories. He also talked about taking risks and playing football on the front foot. None of that pragmatism nonsense that we wanted him for 😂

    Scott Munn

In Thomas Frank's first interview released by the club, he talks about the right alignment between him, Levy, vinai and Johann. No mention of Munn

That's about 50, take away 17 from hojberg sale we are already -33m :(

    coutinho money :)

    Cristian Romero

yes no doubt romero can be better under TF however, if funds elsewhere if needed...

    Bryan Mbeumo

doubtful how can we afford mbuemo AND one or two more glaring gaps to fill with experience. probably better consolidating now and if all goes well, go break our transfer record in 2-3 years time.

    Scott Munn

i find it interesting that levy sacked ange without any mention of munn.

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

we made a few gambles on youth and needed to rotate them in for their development - hence keeping the first team fit was always a priority and we had to rotate, especially with hard evidence of injuries from ange's first season.

    ENIC

so its confirmed vinai has already started and was involved in the decision to sack ange and appoint TF

    Cristian Romero

romero is good for the epl too - but I think we can still sell him and upgrade with leftovers. especially with the way TF wants to play with highly structured and disciplined defending in numbers, I don't think a top-top CB is crucial unlike Angeball

    Arnaud Kalimuendo

kalimuendo uses his low CG well by being mobile and quick, on and off the ball. (he would have been good under ange too when e needed a dribbler or a quick one-two to open up defences.) has the tools to be deployed in a no.10 role under TF - just like damsgaard, and considering he is valued...

    Mathys Tel

perhaps TF will find their optimum positions for the best team effect - he's done that several times at Brentford already

i think we will keepn son as captain for stability, and see him transition into a super sub by the end of the season. dont forget the number of shirts he sells too

    Expectations for 25/26

i'm with you and happy to see us progress more than half way through the cup competitions AND get Europa placings, because I know we need that extra cash for future transfers

    Mathys Tel

i am confident that by the end of the next season, we will see Tel will improve leaps and bounds under TF's style of play. along with odobert.

    Thomas Frank’s coaching staff

from about 10 min onwards you can watch how he works with his staff 4 months ago at brentford - video analysis and on the training ground. brentford were very open about sharing his system - this could have been TF's linkedin video lol

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

A day in the life of Brentford manager Thomas Frank 4 months ago - so its quite recent. He starts very early and reads a lot. \ Around 10 mins there is a technical review of a past game - watch it to get a sense of how he works with JC and Newton and the level of detail to player positioning...
