MOVEMBER - Moustache Season is Nearly Upon Us

Thanks for making me laugh out loud on a packed train, getting funny stares now!

    Opticians

I thought the same but my concern with laser is the long term effects and that it can not be reversed. My friend now has dry eyes after the procedure but there is definitely far more good outcomes than bad I suppose. I think I'm going to go for Intra Ocular Lens implants, similar to cataract...

    Opticians

I do not disagree with eyetest's and I think they are a good thing and encourage people to go for one at least once every two years. Transfering the service to the NHS is not needed as many big companies provide a service on a huge national scale. Specsavers and Vision Express as examples...

    Opticians

Like anything the buyer needs to take some responsibility in ordering his/her lenses and should choose a respectable retailer online by using ones that are clearly reviewed and marked as recommended. Of course there are going to be opticians out there who provide a poor service online and...

    Opticians

Sorry Dome but I disagree with your later part of your argument and believe it's only natural for you to take a bias view because of your profession. When I pay for an eye test I pay for a health check on the eyes and expect to be given measurements if I request this. If a PD distance is not...

Family of 5 in a Hotel room

Stayed at quite a few hotels in the past. Bigger families get two rooms with connecting doors. Will cost twice the price but hey you should have wrapped it up ;)

Or kid. You could also just take your favourite two.

Not quite the same when it's a bloke.

    Opticians

I have nearly the exact same perscription as you, 'glasses fweennnddd' I hate opticians. Especially the mainstream ones. I had two eye tests over the past couple of months just to try and get a PD distance so that I can buy my glasses online. Both times they came up with flimflam reasons as...

    *** Official Betting Thread ***

Did a live bet Tuesday on UTD at 2-2 to win. Stuck £100 on them and Hernandez scores the header literally as soon as the bet was accepted. Felt fudging great. Returned £240. Had another accumy last weekend. £15 free bet to pay £690 on an 8 team accy. All won apart from Arsenal to lose...

    * The 'Buying a Tablet or Netbook' Thread *

Another Apple product and out come the fanboys! Work colleague and a few others were eating out last night. He mentioned he couldn't wait to get home because he had yet to watch the Apple launch stream. I said to him so what have they released? His reply was loads of updates and upgrades...

Who set up our current tax laws!

I have mentioned in the past on this board and I'll mention it again. Read up on a man called Sir John James Cowperthwaite. He knew the basis of prosperity was through minimal taxation and this provided the drive for small businesses and competition. You may ask 'how does paying lower tax...

    The Goon Thread

Arsenal fans really are the lowest of the low. I got some guy who I used to work with on twitter and most tweets of his are directed at Spurs to the point where we must constantly be on his mind... A typical example tweet of his "Arsenal, definitely the best away support in the country...

    Jimmy Savile

You're still loopy. I don't think I have ever come across someone who reads into conspiracies so much that you are practacially hoping for them to be fact. Some words of advice; The contents on the internet are 80% flimflam and 20% accurate. Conspiracy theorists never tend to accept knowledge...

Teacher and that 15 year old.

Not that I think the teacher wasn't wrong in this situation but this is a failed argument. Age of consent in France is 15. Many kids these days have sex at 13. The law states the age of consent in the UK is 16. It's not to do with genitial development. It's to do with making mature decisions...

iPhone 5 - to be announced today

Just reading the paper to see the front page splashed with people queuing outside the store (some have done for over a week) just to get a phone on release day. Seriously, how fudging sad can you get? IT'S ONLY A fudging PHONE!!!!! Some people amaze me.

    Match Ratings

You need to go to specsavers, especially if your saying you've seen the footage again and still pass the blame to Brad.

    Match Ratings

Exactly the goal was not the keepers fault. The blame goes 100% to Walker who let his man go. Friedel on the other hand has been a great signing for us, who has been pretty solid all round. People should show a little more respect before shoving him out to door for our new signing.
