***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Expensive Stoke***

I had mixed feelings about signing Maddison. Yes we needed creativity. But immediately making him vice captain set off some alarm bells for me.

    Ange in or out?

The only focus we need in the league is to finish above 2 out of Leicester, Ipswich & Wolves. Not a huge ask. Either way I think he’s gone in the summer, I can’t see us signing up for another league season of this. I still think we might win a cup which would leave us with an interesting dilemma!

OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Tamworth FC

Jonathan Liew, so unsurprising really. To be fair I did like this line: “An extra 30 minutes in their legs: not ideal, but at least the experience of facing a cynical, physical low-block team will stand them in good stead for the north London derby on Wednesday.”

OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Tamworth FC

The clown seems obsessed with calling out people on this board. Does he think Ange listens to us?

This has “magic of the FA Cup” written all over it, and not in a good way.

Contingency planning : When Ange is sacked, who should replace him?

I dunno? I was looking at currently out of job candidates after the Liverpool game (though I’m in favour of giving Ange more time) and I came up with the following after about 10 seconds research: Potter - the boring and possibly sensible choice Southgate- no thanks Ten Hag - no thanks Xavi -...

Contingency planning : When Ange is sacked, who should replace him?

Terzic sounds like the type we would be looking at - former manager of a club that we would perceive to be at our level (let’s set aside the fact Dortmund have been far more successful in the past 30 years) . I did a bit of googling on him, not very inspiring tbh.

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

It was an embarrassing episode all round from the moment Mourinho went until Nuno was sacked. It was obvious at the time that we didn’t really want him - the equivalent of a “panic-buy” after months of searching. To treat a manager who always comes across as dignified and who’d done a very good...

    Ange in or out?

Same here. I want him to turn it around but can’t see it happening. But I don’t want another interim manager and yet another protracted search for a permanent one (though “permanent” is fairly loose term in our case).

    OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Wolves ** 29 December 2024.

He’s clearly an Arsenal clam here on a wind-up. Ignore him.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Well, there’ll be no bonuses for finishing 14th or wherever. Daniel really is the ultimate evil genius!

    Ange in or out?

Excellent! Based on the above it would seem foolish to abandon the project when things get rough. Having said that, football is a special case where emotion and perception have disproportionate impacts. And sacking the current manager doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the project - assuming a...

Contingency planning : When Ange is sacked, who should replace him?

I agree with that. I don’t think Iraola would come mid-season, a better option might present itself for him in 6 months, whereas Thomas Frank probably would jump as he’ll never get a bigger club than us.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

The perfect fit at the time from where he was in his development and from where we were. And you know in time it might be seen that Ange was the right fit for the reset we needed after Conte. Whatever happens, after Ange I don’t think we’ll need to tear it up and start from scratch again. Hopefully!

    ***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Liverpool***

Well we’ve had 2 pragmatic managers very recently and it didn’t end well for them either. I admire Ange for sticking to his philosophy in an attempt to build. Yes it will take time if he’s allowed it. I don’t think for a second that we’ll get dragged into a relegation battle.

Well exactly. Hire Ange we get Ange. That’s how it works.
