    Morgan Schneiderlin

I agree Indian. Southampton are losing their biggest assets. A point will come where they refuse to let players leave, even if they go on strike. I can see them refusing to sell for less than 20-25m, and if that's so, we will have to move on. Shame as he looks classy and understands Poch's...

    Ben Davies

I'm not thrilled about this one. Just before last season began i said that you don't finish top 4 with players like Rose and Townsend as players for such key positions in your starting eleven. Whilst i would be pleased therefore to see Rose moved to a reserve position, i didn't exactly have in...

    Roberto Soldado

Re: Official - Soldado NWND, i agree. Whether it was because he didn't receive the service or for other non-football related issues, he was very very disappointing last season. I think he could do a job, but he hasn't been a £25m player and, for that reason I suspect that given his age Levy...

    Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

There were a lot of unhappy Liverpool fans at the end of Rodgers' first season when they finished about 8th. The owners stuck with him and it worked. I can imagine in that situation Levy would have just sacked him.

    Andros Townsend

there are a lot of Andros admirers on here. I'm not one I'm afraid. He wouldn't get into the first teams at Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Liverpool or United. Given we are trying to better two of those teams to attain CL football, I don't see that being done with Andros as a first choice player...

    Who's in and who's out- tactics 2014/2015

I think if it's Pochettino he'll try and emulate Rodger's formation at Liverpool: ………………………Henderson…….Gerrard ………………………………….……Allen .…...Sterling/Coutinho….Sturridge…..Suarez So with our present squad that'd be something like: ………………………Sandro….Bentaleb/Paulinho …………………………..…Eriksen...

I always shudder when i hear comparisons between, for example, Southampton and Barcelona.

The new, new manager thread - Pt 3

it'd be interesting to produce a list of 'pro' or 'anti' Poch before his reign begins and see how people feel about their selection this time next year.

The new, new manager thread - Pt 3

Read my post. I am saying that our recent track record with signings means we can't expect to attract a top notch manager. The idea we might bring in an Ancelotti is, in my view, farcical.

The new, new manager thread - Pt 3

My concern isn't that he isn't a top 4 manager - I've long said that our 'hire 'em, fire 'em' approach to managerial recruitment over the past decade means we'll struggle to attract a manager who might be perceived as 'top notch'. My concern with Pochettino is that he's being recruited in...

The new, new manager thread - Pt 3

Well, I've said it before, I'm pretty underwhelmed by this appointment and I maintain my view he'll have been sacked by November 2015 and the whole circus will start again. Hope I'm wrong. If he's appointed he'll get my support. COYS.

    Hugo Lloris

I know we know Lloris is a great keeper but i fear we won't appreciate just how good he is until he leaves. I think of the Prem keepers only Hart is on the same level. With a settled back four in front of Lloris, including a decent LB, i think we would finish top 4.

    Next Spurs Manager v.2

I find that extraordinary. I've been following Spurs since the 70s, have seen them win the UEFA Cup, FA Cups, etc, but I'd love to see us become a regular Champions League team. Weird isn't it how different people have such different priorities?

    Next Spurs Manager v.2

That's all fine but you're talking as if AVB was our first manager to be fired quickly. Santini, Jol, Ramos. The Lane is a managerial graveyard.

    Next Spurs Manager v.2

I'm not saying they've always kept faith with every manager - simply that they did with Rodgers. We don't with anyone. 9 managers in 13 years.

    Next Spurs Manager v.2

I agree and would add that the other difference with the Rodgers situation is that at the end of his first season when they finished about 8th, the club kept faith and gave him time. It is a fact that we don't give any manager time and therefore we don't have the time to pick a potentially...

    Next Spurs Manager v.2

This will be our 9th manager in 13 years. Do you think Levy is ever going to ask himself how it is he keeps getting it so, so wrong? The idea someone like Martinez is going to move from his settled position at a top 5 team to come to the serial sackers is just madness. He'll bide his time at...

    Tim Sherwood…gone \o/

Re: Tim Sherwood…not treated with the respect a headmaster is. I'm afraid to say he's demonstrated very little class. He knew what he was getting involved in. When he was appointed I didn't speak to anyone who thought he'd be the manager next season unless it was a remarkable success. He is...
