    However, 1934/35 we recorded 30 points from 42 games, upscaled to 40 points (2 > 3 points for a win) so statistically speaking that would be our worst ever season and at this stage Ange can't mathematically reach that ppg (there's always next year Ange...)

    Wrt the PL this will be our worse number of losses and worse number of points totalled (unless we pull a run of wins out of nowhere) I don't think we'll get more than 39 points (2 more draws) you'd have to go back to 76/77 to find a season we recorded lower (33) though in todays money that...

    I think if relegation had become more of a concern then he'd have had to have been sacked - once that essentially was off the cards it rested on Euopean progress.

    I don't think we were even playing Angeball in those opening ten games - it's far too early to have had players up to speed. What's happened is the more we have trained/learned his way of playing the worse we have got
