Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

One of our Stadium team moving to Wembley as Operations Director: http://www.thefa.com/news/2017/apr/03/jon-sellins-operations-director-announcement-030417

    Vincent Janssen

I think his style gives us something different, but I'm not sure it fits the way we play. I'm more worried by his positioning and off the ball movement than lack of goals at this point. He looks like he wants a ball to run on to, while we're giving it to feet with his back to goal. He's fairly...

    Vintage Spurs Shirts

Previously the Umbro and Admiral style shirts have been sold without the original manufacturers logos. It just means that the club and/or original shirt maker haven't been paid a licensing fee.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Stadium revenue is generally behind both Broadcast and Sponsorship at the top level. Then consider that the stadium carries significant overhead costs against the profit. Of that profit most of the money is generated from corporate seats in new stadiums rather than the regular seat prices. The...

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

It's also about the blend of ticket price points, as the corporate/hospitality sections in new stadiums bring in a significantly higher percentage of revenue. Knocking a few quid off the regular seat price in specific parts of the stadium would have a noticeable benefit for a large number of...

    New Kit?

Before this season every team in the league had Barclays on each sleeve for Premier League games, Emirates feature for FA Cup games this year, and a few teams have had quite prominent shirt makers' logos on the sleeves. I don't think there's that much difference beyond the appearance on replica...

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Wembley orginally had a pre Christmas deadline for Spurs to commit. That got pushed back to March, and will likely keep being pushed back as long as we need time. At this point they're not going to say no as their events calendar assumes Spurs will be there. Levy is now in the driving seat if...

    StubHub

Make that an outsourcing to save money/effort, plus an official partnership deal that generates revenue.

I liked Erik Lamela before it was cool

It also gets the crowd going. There's nothing like the roar of the crowd behind this team when our pressing game goes up a gear and the opposition are panicked into mistakes. It's been there this year, but it doesn't feel like we've sustained that level of pressing for the long periods that we...

I liked Erik Lamela before it was cool

Very few players offer the above, and even fewer are able to consistently use those skills effectively while pressing high up the pitch. I don't think I've seen us linked with anyone who I could confidently say offers what a fit Lamela gives the team.

    StubHub

It's actually the unauthorised selling of the ticket which is illegal not the inflated price. Stubhub makes it an authorised sale, with the details of the buyer available to the club, police etc if needed.

    StubHub

That assumes that the purpose of Stubhub is for people to tout their tickets for higher prices. There is still a need for a resale facility for season ticket holders who can't attend a game. The Stubhub model let's us sell for under face value if it means getting something back and not having...

    StubHub

While I wouldn't personally put my ticket on there for £90, you've mentioned two reasons why I think the Stubhub model should stay. First as a season ticket holder I get payment straight after the match. Second, if i can't get to a game I might be happy to get less than face value rather than...

    StubHub

Can't see that happening unless there is legislation saying clubs have a legal responsibility for ensuring the original buyer is the person who uses the ticket. Firstly new stadiums have barcode operated turnstile rather than operators, so that's an additional cost. Then there's the potential...

    StubHub

I was pretty sure that this was one of the changes made to the Stubhub system after it was launched. The first being a cap on the maximum sale price, and the second was buying a Stubhub ticket and then relisting at a higher price. From memory this was because people were buying reasonably...

    Vincent Janssen

If you look closely, most of our players get that look when they shoot rather than pass to him. That includes Kane on a regular basis.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2016/17

To be fair I know a couple of people at Wembley who until a couple of days ago, were saying our game was favourite to be on Sunday.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2016/17

Nothing to do with the FA, it's the Premier League, Unless club games being played on Champions League nights are protected, in which case it's UEFA.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

It's a bit of a myth that all people who buy hospitality fall into the 'prawn sandwich phalanx' cliché. Particularly with club football, the majority are normal fans who have done well for themselves. The club has a lot of hospitality options to sell, so they're not going to be turning anyone...

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

If I was in the club's position then I would want to announce at the start of next season. It's all but guaranteed that every one of our televised games at Wembley will including commentators talking about our impending move to the 'x stadium'. That exposure is worth a few extra £££ on the price.
