    Yes, I wouldn’t touch Rashford with a barge pole. As many have said, we should be wanting hungry players on the way up, not be propping up - not just financially, as that can be covered by United, but with status and all the trappings that London offers - those on the way down from their peak.

    I guess to expand on my feelings on it... On one hand, he’s not pulled up any trees anywhere previously, but on the other, he is a decent coach and sometimes things can just slot into place for a manager. Either way, it doesn’t smack of any real joined up thinking by the club. To me, at least…

    I think one of the biggest problems we have is just that the ball doesn’t stick up top which means it’s constantly coming back. You look at Sancho and Neto and Johnson / Werner and Son and it’s night and day different. A developed Moore could make the difference here as the ball sticks to him...

    I think there’s something in that. We’ve all laughed at Chelsea, for any number of valid reasons, but I think the way football’s going at the top end, you’re going to need a squad like theirs of at least 30 to manage all the games and therefore ensuing injuries.
