Need to tighten up at the back, stay with the runners and fudge offside

***OMT*** Tottenham Hotspur v LiVARpool - Sunday April 27th 4.30pm

And then we start fudging around at the back and try and give them a chance

    Son Heung-Min

A useless stat. He could give a two yard pass and it could count as a big chance created. Adama Traore is 6th on that and I doubt anyone would be clamouring for us to sign him. Rashford has been poor for most of the season and he's in 10th.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Munn doing an interview is a bit of a red herring (will stop the codding). I'd say Ange would be way more interested and concerned about what is being said to him behind closed doors than some staged interview being put on by Munn or whoever else.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Do you really think anyone would care what Munn says? It would be forgotten about in less than 5 mins. The only thing that would stop speculation and Ange getting flak is for him to improve results.

    Cristian Romero

The second goal on Sunday was nothing to do with playing offside. It was poor closing down for the cross and then VdV doesn't go with his man. He's actually touching Woods at one stage but for some unknown reason just stands still while Woods takes a couple of steps away from him in between the...

    Cristian Romero

His issues are nothing to do with playing offside. He can be world class one week and like a pub player the next. He constantly leaves players unmarked, just walking off players he's supposed to be marking. He goes chasing balls instead of holding his position leaving huge holes in the defence...

    Ange in or out?

I don't know what you're seeing with Maddison but he's nowhere near in the same bracket as Modric and Carrick that you mentioned earlier and not a dominant midfielder. He's more likely to go hiding in a tough game than grab it by the scruff. Bergvall has made some bad mistakes, but his...

    Ange in or out?

Kulu has played plenty of those type of balls but that hasn't really been his role. He plays further forward or on the wing. Bergvall is already better than Maddison at the type of rol you're talking about. Maddison has never done it consistenly during his career, a few good games followed by a...

    Ange in or out?

Disagree. Kulu can get on the ball from deep, progress the ball, and deliver a pass every bit as good as Maddison. The difference is that Kulu does it on a consistent basis and will always put in a shift.

You really think he has no influence on the trust fund?

It wasn't being bullish, just stating facts as we have an option to buy.

    Ange in or out?

It doesn't require a left-footer. The fact that the FBs are basically attacking midfielders most of the time means that it reduces the need for them to be the same foot as the wing they are on. It would be much more important if they were asked to hug the side of the pitch instead of coming inside.

    Ange in or out?

The player that has created the 5th most chances in the league isn't particularly creative? :openmouth:

We also have Yang for the right. Not sure he's ready though. It's very unlikely that Solomon and Gil will be here next season.

    Cristian Romero

He has to take his share of the blame that he won't be a winner here. He can be class, like he was against Frankfurt and less than a week later put in a stinker against Forest. A proper top quality player does it game in game out. Romero only turns up when he feels like it.
