    James Maddison

I thought at the time that Anderton was pretty similar to and every bit as good as Mcmanaman, who became a Galactico. A great player who arguably isn't legendary (unless in Liverpool). To me at least, haven't heard his name mentioned in ages.

    Pedro Porro

Has he? Not saying you're wrong, but I cannot recall him losing it too often unless he ventures too far forward. Which he should be prohibited to do, his goal notwithstanding. He has no pace to recover to get back on the right side of things and has learned crossing at Eriksen's school of...

    Pedro Porro

Could be and hopefully it's fixable, he was a revelation when he started out - for his age of course. And in a position we really need to get nailed down.

    Mikey Moore

I hope that nobody does that. Palace should have been booked earlier for trying to take him out of his game, at which they succeeded. He got a dose of EPL reality today after a fantastic debut. He'll come good and more than that I'm sure, but a Wayne Rooney he's not.

    Pedro Porro

I am not Davies' biggest fan, but I believe that he still can do a job as LB in a back four. As an effective WB no, but then again he never has.

    Pedro Porro

Well, we still have Davies? If lack of motivation/discipline is what holds a youngster back (not saying it is, but if), then start Davies. At least we know what we get and what we don't with him.

    Pedro Porro

That explains a lot. I don't think we can expect too much of such a player, so all things considered he's doing pretty well.

    Pedro Porro

Yeah, it reminds me of the Walker/Lennon conundrum where both wanted to do the same thing, leaving the other to dry. You could even argue that Porro is a tiny bit more disciplined.

    Pedro Porro

Udogie did not have a good afternoon, but the entire defense insists on making life hard on themselves by employing the stupid high risk play-out-from-the-back. We do NOT have the required passing abilities or even awareness to do that successfully, other than against the most timid opposition...

    Pedro Porro

Porro is in the team for one thing and one thing only - his supporting runs. He is fine as a wing back when the opposition is scared of us and fall back. To me, he looks like someone who's played mostly upfield but have been pushed back to gain play time. That's not saying he cannot defend, but...

    OMT *** Tottenham Hotspur vs AFC Richmond/Crystal Palace - Sunday 27th October 14:00 ***

For me it's more about the composition of the team, rather than their individual skillset. Even if Son is past his best and everybody knows it, he still commands more respect than Mikey Lewis. They went in hard on him early, and he got his baptism today and looked like the young player he is. A...

    OMT *** Tottenham Hotspur vs AFC Richmond/Crystal Palace - Sunday 27th October 14:00 ***

I'll chime in with that we deserved to lose by 3, but lost only by 1. That's 2 goals plus on the GD. That could be the difference between the title and runner up.

    OMT *** Tottenham Hotspur vs AFC Richmond/Crystal Palace - Sunday 27th October 14:00 ***

Almost always when we're the ones a goal up at the end, it's a constant barrage against our defense. Now it's half hearted efforts with zero precision and intent. This is simply not good enough, and well played to the poster who said before the game that it's Dr. Tottenham time. As stupid as...

    OMT *** Tottenham Hotspur vs AFC Richmond/Crystal Palace - Sunday 27th October 14:00 ***

At least it will be a well deserved defeat, can't remember us having a single dominant spell. Good job by their crowd as well, swayed the referee more than once - as they should. A proper last effort to get an equalizer would be nice.

Ange, you're the manager. Manage. We are being outplayed all over the pitch.

Get Maddison off, I suspect this is not the kind of game he shines in. He needs time and space, I think he's better suited against less aggressive teams. And a midfield of Maddison and Bissouma is not ideal, too much sloppiness. Put Sarr in and get Kulusevski central.

The Official 2024/25 Premier League Thread

There is precious little left of the beautiful game, now it's all about cheating and getting unfair advantages. Jamie Buttface Vardy clips his own heels and runs wild eyed and screaming up in the refs face, all without any reaction. Unless they start giving straight reds for that brick, it will...

    OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton - Sunday 6 October at 4.30 pm **

And rightly so. We finally have a young, energetic and hungry bench. Use it. 3 strike rule: 1. Wake up. 2. Get your s**t together. 3. Substitute. Be it in the 5th or 85th minute.
