Any supporter that has gone tonight and supported this has my respect. I wouldn't.

Which team doesn't do that against us?

As Naija has already said, Forest simply aren't that good. Any manager that does his homework would know exactly how to setup against them. This game should worst case be a 0-0 stalemate.

You can see the players focusing on the line, not the marking again though. Then one player, VDV, goes that little too deep to play them onside and the ball is in our net. It is shocking tactics from Ange, but probably worked in some inferior leagues.

He's barely won a header or tackle all game. He nearly got Romero a yellow there. Bankes was within his right to show it.

Won't be the last time we're having this conversation in this game.

    It's a great question.

The players are trained to strictly hold the line, not to mark players. We play with fire with it every week under Ange with the line. It worked then though.

Just been looking at the advertising hoardings. They spelt Krapen wrong.

Exactly, what was he thinking? Just meet the ball with the centre of your forehead and clear your lines. Shockingly bad defending from him.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Wolverhampton Wanderers ***

The Gil observation is interesting. He's only ever started 6 games for us and maximum 2 in any given season. He's definitely never been given a chance in a front foot footballing Spurs having to suffer the previous managers anti-football. His physiology is wrong for the PL though even if we...

    *** Tottenham Hotspur v Nottingham Forest ***

To your last point, I was a huge fan of Neville's defending. His positional sense and reading of the game was exemplary and he was a talker to anyone that played with him. That being said, Neville was born in 75 and his breakout season was 94/95. He then played another full season at RB before...

    U23s, Academy and Loanees

Gotta love what's happening with Dorrington. He's started last 5 and putting in some really good performances. Hopefully he'll secure a championship loan next year. It's also his 20th b'day today. Can't wait to see what happens with him in the next year or so.

    Ange in or out?

I doubt any European neutral would want the English clubs in the final, let alone 2 of them for another final borefest.

The Match of the Day Thread

Brilliant. Obviously, much simpler for us. Win the EL or find a new hobby to do midweek evenings next season.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I think the opposite also applies. There is a minority that go in so hard on protecting Ange when the toughest results come along. It balances the forum in my mind. Of course, we don't perceive those posters as badly as the ones on Ange's case. They are apparently the positive ones whereas the...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

I agree. Totally bizarre. Telling other people how to think and feel doesn't work for me. It's like being offended on someone else's behalf.

    ***OMT*** Tottenham...Thursday Night In Frankfurt

They're really not when you apply the laws of the game. It's like the game is setup at the moment as if 80% of the referee calls are subjective. We have this stupid "clear and obvious" rubbish that they can hide behind as well. In reality, about 10-20% of referees decisions are perhaps...

    Ange in or out?

I think it deserves a CL place to be fair. We had to play 38 games last season to get into EL and we will have to play 15 games this season to win it. We have to be the best team out of 36 competing teams.

Contingency planning : When Ange is sacked, who should replace him?

Yep, he was a good coach. I've always said that. I loved the way he managed us out of the "2 points from 8 games" conundrum. He then put a pretty decent formation together and a philosophy that had pace and skill coming at defences from many different angles. It wasn't just through the wide...
