OMT - Tottenham Hotspur FC vs Tamworth FC

Wouldn't you just love to be there today? I would! You can't beat an awayday and these days away tickets are so so hard to get hold of, which is why we could do with a decent FA cup run. The lucky 800 fans who are there - are they all platinum ST holders or are normal away ST holders there as well?

I suspect that putting money on us to lose this and beat Arsenal might be a good bet........

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

the cheapest ticket in the stadium is £95 Well, if you are a VERY OLD spur, then you get a senior citizen rate. Think tonight's tix are under £40 at normal price?

    ** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool ** 8.1.25 at 8pm

Not sure why but I am feeling Bergvall's first goal tonight. Not saying we're doomed but if Bergvall injures himself doing a horror tackle and gets a red card... well, the blame has to go somewhere!

Contingency planning : When Ange is sacked, who should replace him?

Apart from being a poor manager, I find him (Ange) a thoroughly vile person. Now that is weird! I suspect it it the opposite of how many feel. Time will tell on Ange, but one thing I do know, when we win at home again, the place will erupt with joy!

Contingency planning : When Ange is sacked, who should replace him?

I want it so stress free there is no point in me even watching the games. I just want to be satisfied with the numbers. Just out of interest, are you a season ticket holder, an occasional visitor to the Lane or an armchair fan?

    Brennan Johnson

I'm a fan of Brennan but he surely missed a sitter in the second half today. My son reckons he aimed to shoot but mibrick it across goal - the way he put his head in his hands told me he knows he should have buried it. But c'est la vie. Good battling team performance, unlucky on the day.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Saudi Sportswashing Machine FC ***

Just home, and for a refreshing change I'm don't feel down. A draw would have been the fair result, but c'est la vie. We may get worse before we get better, but results will come eventually. Great to see Bergvall finally show me what the hype is about. His best game yet by a country mile, and...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

Is it true that 90% of a PL team's success can be correlated with their wage bill? Paying the lowest wages of the top 6 may be "good business" but doesn't strike me as appropriate if you want success. That element is Levy's Achilles heel.

    Ange in or out?

I think the issue of slowing down the pace of the game - or not - is a genuine one. Interesting that the stats have endorsed what I thought i had seen. Once you have a lead, look to increase it but also take your time with goal kicks etc, don't rush them. I'd much rather have some "game...

Contingency planning : When Ange is sacked, who should replace him?

Moyes has said recently that he doesn't want to join a club in a relegation battle. If we sack Ange, it will be because we have put ourselves into a relegation battle and by that stage Ange isn't trusted to get us out of it.

    OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Wolves ** 29 December 2024.

Frustrating that we couldn't hold on, but I applaud Ange for being proactive with the subs. Have to say that yet again I was underwhelmed by Maddison. As someone else said, he is a lightweight. The Spurs number 10 shirt deserves a much better player

    Ange in or out?

Not helped by having a player who is frankly not good enough to wear our number 10 shirt, or a Captain who looks foocked, and of course none of the preferred back 3. That said, unless we win a home game soon, I just think a reboot with a new manager is needed, to ginger up the players and ensure...

    Ange in or out?

I'be backed Ange so far, but my patience is rapidly waning. I travel in to watch us, as many, perhaps most, do. Traveling to a home game and not being confident of the result, means the club is in a bad place. But the DOF and Board know what the club's analytical models say about the manager's...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Re the manager's "poor performance", the Board's perspective on our performance will be heavily influenced by data. Just started reading "How to win the Premier League" by a guy who worked for Decision Technology, (contracted to Spurs by Damien Comolli) before being head hunted by FSG to work...

***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR v nottingham forest***

May I say that this thread exemplifies everything which is great about this message board and our glorious club? A refreshed and unshakeable faith in our manifest destiny, a faith which will hold steadfast even if a Boxing Day miracle fails to occur. Merry Christmas to one and all, even SkipRat.

    ***OMT TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Liverpool***

I don’t see many issue other than lack of quantity at the right quality I certainly hope you are right in that, as the club must be able to afford a bigger squad, so that issue can be fixed. But why were we were so, so easy to score against? Is this just down to our players' fatigue, ie because...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester United ***

Home after 1.00am after a nightmare train journey.......ignoring Fraser's howlers, I thought that was the best we have played this season. Whole team played well, with special mentions for Djed and Solanke. I was up in the corner of the south and east, so had a better view than normal, and until...

Hmmn, not in row 5 as usual for this, up in row 48, hopefully still a standing area.........

    Ange in or out?

Ange seems more about being a philosopher, life coach and THFC culture change agent. He seems less about "tracksuit and training ground" That's a really interesting observation. I suspect most fans love the "life coach/culture-change" aspect of Ange, but - till our win record improves - have...
