Don't get me wrong, i think Ange is doing poorly given the squad he has at his disposal. But let's be clear he got us 5th place last season after a bad collapse in the last 2/3 months. It was very achievable given the final points total that Villa got. But the club then only bought one clear...

    OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v AZ 13.03.2025 **

Questions: 1 Does anyone have faith that we will go through? If so, how will we tactically from what has been seen in our recent games, particularly the game last week? 2 How much will we miss Danso? Do AZ have big aerial threats? 3 IF we do lose, would any of you fire Ange during the...

Circus ManUnitus - Nobody's At The Wheel

If ever comes out that the Government have given or will give the green light for this new OT stadium to be funded by taxpayers as part of a 'wider regeneration project' then the corruption that does exist in political circles in this country will be in full technicolour view and football, PSR...

    Ange in or out?

Your point about Jose, Conte and Ange all having better first seasons than second is quite eye-opening: it certainly shows how in the last decade how much Poch was/is a standout. How much of that is down to the rigidity of those managers, how much of that is down to the club?

    Kevin Danso

Danso indeed deserves to keep his place. I think bringing on VDV later might even help us pres the opposition back a bit what with both Danson and VDV being relatively quick

I thought so too...but i'd worry that VDV looked the way he did only because he played 30 minutes. Romero did look worse though either way.

    Ange in or out?

I watched it with a friend who doesn't support Spurs. Said he was very impressed with Bournemouth and that we looked less than the sum of our parts in comparison and that we should be delighted we got a point

    Rodrigo Bentancur

He was indeed poor yesterday, but he has shown previously how good he is, even in more trying circumstances (e.g. in a two-man Conte midfield set-up often up against 3 or even 4 midfielders of the opposition). He to my mind is suffering like many of our defenders from the inherent issues with...

    Cristian Romero

Yeah it was..But his presence allowed us to press a bit higher somewhat. Tbh most of our defenders are made to look worse than they are under this system imo.

    Cristian Romero

Hard to tell who was/is fitter tbh. Remember VDV played half the time yesterday than Romero did. It might have been the case that Romero would have looked 'fitter' if he had played half the time instead. That said, i did think Danso and VDV looked more balanced once the substitute took place...

    Dominic Solanke

I thought the same. Put a hell of a lot of work in chasing and pressing their defenders as usual. Just wish he'd get through balls nearer the goal instead of just having to run all the time. That said, Bournemouth defenders are quite strong and know his game well. He gave us more of a platform...

You are absolutely right about how often we don't seem to move well off the ball. Confidence i guess, as we know they can do it

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Bournemouth ***

Porro's passing choice was indeed poor. But is that not an example of a player who has been flogged to death showing tiredness of mind? I'd imagine earlier in the season he'd have passed better. The bigger issue for me was the poor shape that meant when we lost possession from Porro trying to...
