OMT: Spurs v Chelsea Thursday, 8pm at Stamford Bridge

We’re wasting one of the A1 positions on the pitch on Son now. That inverted forward role is such a luxury and where chances should come from. Can’t have players dishing up 5/10 performances from there.

OMT: Spurs v Chelsea Thursday, 8pm at Stamford Bridge

I said this just before the AZ game but the best move would have been to replace Ange if/when we qualified. We have close to zero chance of winning that competition but if a new manager would have come in he might have got a reaction for a couple of months.

    Ange in or out?

I always said the right time would be once all of the old guard were gone. If he can make the big (correct) decision on Son then he has a clean slate to work with barring Ben Davies.

    Ange in or out?

Just seen Poch's interview on Sky Sports. He so badly wants to come back. I'd welcome it.

    Ange in or out?

A fair summary and your 4 positions are the ones I've landed on too and we so desperately need an elite signing (or 2) but lets be honest, no elite player is coming to us without European foootball. The best we can hope for (which are probably too expensive) is: Mbuemo Delap Cardoso/Angel...

    Ange in or out?

I don't consider the Mourinho/Conte spells as long term projects. There are different strategies.

    Ange in or out?

How good do you think the squad is? Like what do you think a new manager could get out of this lot? I'll be honest I'm not sure on a few: Johnson - Gets in good positions to score but doesn't ever look like threatening in open play Bissouma - Looks shot Son - Regressing (A new strong manager...

    Ange in or out?

Howe probably saw them getting away with stuff as the new media and referee darlings and thought he’d run with it. Also playing to the strengths of the likes of Joelinton and Bruno G. They also recruited quite well. Isak, Gordon and Bruno cost decent money and wages but that’s what you need to...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v The Cottagers ***

I gave up earlier. Some can see what the priority is and the management of players around that. Others think they should be getting burnt into the ground again even though they’re just back. Like somebody said earlier - probably the same people moaning that they were overplayed and the same...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v The Cottagers ***

I made the point in the week that there’s more of argument to replace him if we went though than if we didn’t.

Should have left him on and risked injury. I think Ange is limited tactically. But he hasn’t taken Romero off because he thinks it enhances us tactically has he. Which is what you’re insinuating.

Shots on target? Solanke’s miss is exactly why that’s a dud stat.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v The Cottagers ***

I’ve got no problem taking Romero off if he feels 90 is risky. Bares no relevance to being outsmarted by the other manager.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v The Cottagers ***

I actually thought he set us up quite well today considering away from home to a decent team. Blunted them early then tried to win it 2nd half. Not his fault Solanke missed a sitter from 6 yards out.

    Kevin Danso

Do you understand the difference between spending 3x£30m on youngsters on low wages vs 2x£50m on established stars on high wages?

    Mason for Thursday?

Oh I know it's not going to happen. It's something a forward thinking leadership group might consider (not ours). My point was that it might be better to get rid if we win rather than if we lose.

    Mason for Thursday?

Is there an argument to say we should replace Ange if we actually WIN (and go through) on Thursday. We could hop to a guy who has won the Europa, UEFA, Champions League, is unemployed, a great tactician, and would command full respect from the players. He would then have nearly a month with the...

Son on. I’ll be livid if Odobert is off. Hope it’s Johnson. Odobert right.

Ten Haag’s been made to look like Fergie since he left.

Agree on Solanke and Odobert. But worry Ange thinks he’s ‘saving’ Son and Tel for Thursday.
