I hope all the people who thought Brad was about as good/on the same level as Hugo have seen their mistake by now. :) Hugo is far superior. We can't play the high line with Brad, but hopefully this is the last time he ever plays for us. But there were many other problems today, and I'm afraid...

    Andre Villas-Boas - Head Coach

Well AVB got it wrong today. I got it wrong too as I thought the team he picked would be good enough. Though I would have picked a stronger one as I want us to win a trophy more than finish 4th. I hope this is the last time we see Brad in goal this season, or ever in fact. We need a striker and...

A theory on our defensive problems.

Play our best defenders, Lloris Dawson and JV, this is a big help. Our full backs are a problem, I still fear BAE will be a problem for our high line even with Hugo behind him. I prefer Naughton to Walker but neither seem to be good enough ATM.

Decent team, am happy enough with that, and expect not to lose. I'm pleased if Obika gets his chance not through injury of course, but he's been doing well so maybe he make it. We'll see. But as I and many others have been saying all window, it's a striker that's our priority need. Of course...

They've lost RVP but they've gained a better player in the Walcott of now than last season, and crucially Wheelchair is back, a massive boost for them. Also they had terrible defensive injuries last season - I think the first time they fielded a decent back 5 for months was, yep you guessed it...

See above - you can argue Berba became world class after we signed him, but was he seen as world class when we signed him. My computer and FIFA raknings says no :) Just to be clear this last bit's a joke, I've no idea what his FIFA ranking was.

Fair comments, but I don't think Berbatov was seen as world class when he joined. It's a bit of a circular argument I know, but had Berbs been rated as world-class I'm pretty sure Utd would have taken him then. They dithered, because there were doubts, IIRC.

Definitely agree. It's probably the case that some of the squad can come in and be well motivated and do as good a job as 'first team' players. It's the priority angle that gets to me. I rate winning the FA Cup as highly as finishing fourth, in fact if I had a choice, I'd go for the Cup. But as...

Fair enough, but for me he's more consistent than JD or Ade, and better than Dempsey. As for world class, why would a world class striker join us? Can't see that ever under ENIC. I've been splitting my sides for years over the deluded idea that Falcao might join us. So many Spurs fans have a...

I've seen Wheelchair take games by the scruff of the neck, whatever that means, far more than Cazorla. I'd take Wheelchair over him any day, mainly because it would hurt Arsenal so much more.

City won the Prem, something we haven't even smelt let alone won. They won it by pipping their bitter rivals in the last game, how sweet is that? Sweeter than anything ever we have produced over Arsenal, even the 91 semi-final doesn't match that. Oh and we haven't won the FA Cup since then...

I'd take Walcott, no danger, better than any of our strikers. And I'm a big Dempsey fan. Used to be a big Ade fan too, no more.

Leeds is higher priority than Norwich. Throw the Norwich game if that's the new strategy. We haven't won the FA cup for 20+ years. ENIC have one trophy to show for 12+ years. I wanna trophy, and i want it now - STamps foot and throws toys out of pram I want a very strong team out v Leeds

And people saying they wouldn't want City's billions. Can you imagine what it felt like to be one of their fans, doing Utd over for the title, with practically the last kick of the season. Beating them 6-1, all the hurt they've endured v Utd, payback time at last. How I'd love to see us do...

Fair enough, but I don't. I think a striker is the top priority. I'm not sure what the stats are re clear cut chances and how they're defined, but we are creating plenty of chances and not putting them away. How many has Ade missed alone, and some of them have to be clear cut chances. JD's...

**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Re: **Official Other Teams & Games Thread, Season 2012/13** I hope Villa go down, so we'll be one of only 6 ever-presents in the Prem. Plus we'll probably have more chance of overtaking their trophy haul if they have couple of years in the Championship..

Hi JG, by 1965 Liverpool were easily one of the best teams, better than Burnley, Ipswich and Leicester, and probably better than us. They were champions, won the FA Cup and narrowly lost an epic European Cup semi final to Inter 4-3 They won the title again the next season That's way ahead of...
