    Tottenham Hotspur V Aston Villa

I don’t like the Levy Out chants during the game but fair play to our support. You can hear them loud and clear even in the face of a dreadful performance.

There was a game under Hoddle in 2003 when I knew he was done. We lost a cup game 4-0 at Southampton. Maybe we’ll turn it around but this has a very similar feel based on that first half. Tactically, we’re a mess. They have no fit CB either by the way but they still don’t look clueless.

He looks very awkward IMO based on the two games I’ve seen him.

3 or 4 times now I’m watching our defenders backpeddling not engaging the man in possession because there is no midfielder goal side of the ball. It’s beyond a fudging brainless way to play the game.

fudge me, I know Son’s pace was always going to go but I’m amazed at how brick his finishing has become. Great ball from Moore though.

We’re getting dingdonged here. These boys don’t believe in what we’re doing.

He’s not the only one. The press is way too slow and three of our lads group together and leave the right wing wide open. The defending, as a team, was so bad.

Kinsky is awful there but you dissect that goal and our shape from the press until they score and it’s appalling. fudging horrific.

fudge Slot anyway. That’s a very classy interview.

    FA Cup 24/25

Isn’t football just as much about seeing the teams you despise lose as much as seeing the one you love win… fudging brilliant.

    Ange in or out?

Yeah I’ve no faith in the man at all at this point but if we won the Europa and finished somewhere around midtable, it could be a catalyst. You’d have to give him another year or at least the start of next season in that scenario. If we do that, the mentality could be “it was injuries that...

    Ange in or out?

It’s an absolute nothing season league-wise for the first time in a very long time. Every other season over the last 20, with a few games to go, we’ve had something to play for aside from the Ramos year where we won a league cup. Unless we win a cup, it’s been a disaster.

    Ange in or out?

Son’s getting slated at the moment for his performance as captain, and I understand why even if I don’t fully agree, but you don’t need the armband to show leadership and pretty much every one of our lads wilted under the lights at Anfield. The three in midfield were particularly disappointing...

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Relegation was before my time but I suffered through Shreeve in 91/92, Ossie in 93/94, Gross in 97/98 and Pleat in 03/04. But in this day and age, where the financial gulf between us and the bottom clubs is huge, it’s massive underachievement to be as low as 14th at this point. First time I’ve...

They did. Chelsea put in a bid for you in the summer. Your missus said you were a horrible bastard but not horrible enough to join them so she declined on your behalf.

Unbelievable effort. Terrible shame it isn’t his goal but very impressive.

Welcome Ange: To Dare is to Didgeridoo

Agree with most of that except the bit about Davies where I think you’re being a little harsh. Even Ange’s comments after the game about “the lesson is we shouldn’t deviate from what got us here to start with” reek of “I’ve tried what everyone else wanted and look how that turned out. I know...

    Ange in or out?

You’re probably too young to remember but… 1989/90 under Venables. We beat them 2-1 at home to clinch 3rd (IIRC), 1-0 at theirs and 3-0 at OT in the League Cup. Again, IIRC that 3-0 was the night Terry Fenwick broke his leg. As a 10 year old, I remember the joy of finding Radio 5 on my...
