    Pedro Porro

This is kind of what I was saying, in that most of our crosses come from the right. Thanks for posting this btw, since my point is that 8/23 successful crosses seems suboptimal, but I'm not necessarily placing ALL the blame on Porro. I do think he can vary his crossing a bit or try to be more...

    Pedro Porro

Perhaps, and it's my opinion on Porro's crossing over the course of the season. I do feel like he hoofs the ball from deep often but it just goes into no-man's land for the opposition to gather. He's had some really good crosses, but I feel like with his ability, he should have more successful...

    Dejan Kulusevski

I feel like Kulu has defended Ange in his comments before though. I mean, I don't think it's unreasonable that the support will wane as the performances and results continue to be in the gutter.

    Cristian Romero

It's all hard to say when there's so many problems, as you said, and if it's stemming from the management of the team (which I think it is), then all these faults can be mitigated or eliminated and we see players performing at their ability rather than behind it.

    Pedro Porro

I just want him to work on his crossing, as that was one of his supposed strengths (I thought) when we signed him. I know teams are able to pack their boxes with players since our build-up is generally so slow and ponderous, so maybe his crossing would be fine if opposition defenders are running...

    Dejan Kulusevski

Of basically any player in our squad, Kulu is the one who deserves not to be let down. Should be our captain as @afsoc4life and @Bedfordspurs were saying. He won't accept subpar garbage being served up, whether it's during a match or on the training ground. Seems like he's not happy with the...

    Cristian Romero

2 years left on his contract and wants a new challenge... If he doesn't sign a new contract this summer, he needs to go IMO.

    Guglielmo Vicario

Yeah I agree, basically just taking responsibility. Thing is, I understand that a young player learning a new league will make mistakes and I'm totally fine with that as he will learn from this and be stronger in the long run (hopefully). It was like Maddison giving the ball away last Thursday...

    Guglielmo Vicario

It was weird, though... Vicario had his hands on Bergvall's chin, in a grip. I liked Bentancur's approach better, where it's a bit more reasonable but I don't know, I guess I feel that Vicario can do things like that if he's playing impeccably himself, but he's not.

    Djed Spence

Absolutely... not sure when we'll see another Bale again though.

    Cristian Romero

It is true, a few midfielders momentarily switch off in that exact moment that Romero gets closed down. He still has the keeper and the other CB as options though, although we all know Romero tries to beat the press by going forwards. Huge brainfart though for such a high-profile player.

    Cristian Romero

I don't know why anyone is surprised by that clip of his mistake. He does this all the time, trying to draw players in to press him so he can pass around them. Usually it works out, but he's been making a lot of high-profile mistakes lately regarding this. Now, I suspect more players will try to...

    Yves Bissouma

I thought Bissouma would be decent for us, but I was more impressed by Caicedo. Just seems like a different player here though. Only one good game against Man U earlier in the season... or was that last season... I don't even remember/care anymore.

    Destiny Udogie

I'm fishing this thread from page 4 to say: what the hell is going on? I'm thinking it must be the system since so many players seem so disjointed, but I felt like Udogie was so bad yesterday. He was never on the same wavelength as anyone else: poor passes, defensively ineffectual. Spence is...

    Brennan Johnson

When we first signed Johnson, this was my thinking as well. We went for the wrong Forest player IMO (wrong as in one is a better choice, for probably the same money).

    Archie Gray

I think he needs more time to feel out playing DM/CM, but overall he did feel a bit too safe. Did make some good tackles and blocks though, but I felt our whole midfield was so lackluster.

    Wilson Odobert

I like that he's direct. He takes defenders out of position and that's something we've been sorely lacking. Otherwise, teams just set up their lines of defenders in front of their goal which we never seem to break down.
  19. papaspur

    Lucas Bergvall

I thought he was excellent, and there's definitely a case he could be MOTM. This is what we need in a midfield player: ability to pass, carry, defend, anticipate, join attacks, fight for aerial duels... He's like a proper box-to-box midfielder but with more guile. The way he beat not one, but...

    Djed Spence

Was borderline MOTM for me again yesterday. Odobert getting a brace obviously has a huge impact on the outcome of the match so maybe he deserves it more, but it's so rare to see a defender win the ball so often. Not even going to ground or anything; it's just a standing tackle or nick and he...
