Mathys Tel

He looks better when the team looks better, funny that. Great performance, incredible goal. Will go down as one of the all time greats at the Bridge (not that many goals to compete with to be fair.)

Start him again next week vs Palace and keep that confidence and consistency building.

The goal gets better every time I see it.
I plan on seeing it a lot more today :)

Constantly stuck up for him and am delighted for him. He clearly has the technique with the ball, both control and shooting and no matter how low on confidence he is he is still willing to have the mentality to take on his full back.

He is still young, and will be a very good player o am sure of it....

I remember the Adebayor goal at the same end, that was some strike :) Oh and the Sandro one too of course....

I guess all we can do is trust Roberto with this young guy. Mathys has now reminded us of what we lost when Sonny got to his senior years and needed to eventually leave. That goal was Sonnyesque to be fair. There's also been a lot of fans suggesting Richi should have been ahead of Mathys. If he keeps performing like that and having end product, our Brazilian striker will soon be forgotten. It's perhaps a reminder that guys like Mathys get less opportunities all the time we hold onto the senior players. We always need to create space for them to be nurtured which is what is happening now with Tel.

You never know, although definitely not weak now, he is still young, so might have some strength against to come.

He really has a nice technique and comfort with the ball

I do believe he is going to be a top player as he continues, still young but he has the ability to become a very important player for us as he matures. IMO

I've consistently said the same and am delighted that he continues to show it via increasingly strong performances.
