Omar Marmoush

I'm not sure - we'd have about 6 all favouring being inside left, with almost no specialist CFs or natural rightys. It would be imbalanced.

Hahahaha, I mean not exactly, no, but I get your wider point. It depends on whether we view Gakpo and Marmoush as being able to effortlessly play as 9s. Let's see who we end up with. Gakpo could get tricky with Emirates Marketing Project now involved in sniffing...I will say I am still concerned that we are not an especially big side. As an idealist I love it, as a realist looking at the modern game, it could leave me concerned...

He has a dog! Not making a big fuss but it's uncommon due to religious concerns, but it's less so now with the younger folks.

Same concerns about fasting month and afcon...need back up plans when its time

A lot of people just follow a religion blindly as they are born into but then as they get older become logical and aware. I mean angels may not come into his house if he owns a dog any more.

To be fair it’s a coincidence that I’ve got a dog and I’ve not seen any angels either, or fairies for that matter.

His thread hadn’t been bumped since the game, was just going to say I thought he looked pretty decent.

Whether he is really a ‘9’ for us can be a debate or whether he should play up with a main focal point or from the left will likely work itself out.

However I thought he showed good pace, some nice touches and there were a good few times when he received the ball, knocked it past a couple of players and laid it off to someone to keep attacks going. I didn’t feel like he had the Richy issue of the ball being played into him and it just coming straight back at us. Think he could be really good for us once he works off the rust of sitting on the bench behind Haaland.

Looked very good to me
Beat men and kept the ball going forward
Didn’t engage their CBS though which is key against units like that
But he is a real player

should have had a penalty ... really good feet and unusually good pace on the ball.

well the players will need time to get used to that and i think fernandez will relish first time through balls to him
