I hope he backs his words and learns his position better because this guy gets away with so much sloppy play I begin to wonder if there is some sort of bias going on.

Hopefully RDZ is able to elect real too level performances out of him. I do like that by bringing in Senesi we don't have to rely on him even if his form is poor again.

It's all well and good blaming the manager and Frank should shoulder plenty of the responsibility for last season. But VDV still had a job to do defensively, and he was often poor with any form of defending that didn't involve using his pace. Undoubtedly RDZ's front foot football will be more suited to VDV, but he has a lot to learn defensively nonetheless....

Agreed, he's no different from any young (ish) defender in that regard. I think we have to remember that these last 3 years have been in the 22-25 age bracket. He's not going to be the finished article and I've seen 2 main managers set him up for failure. That is why he's been part of a defence that's averaged over 60 goals conceded.

Now it is more on him, as you say. He's heading into his mid to late twenties and that is where I think he will shut down the boo boys. It's all set up for him now. He has midfield protection. He has a manager with a good setup and if he stays fit can have a great time.
