We are clearly playing a numbers game by supplementing our academy ranks with more and more players. Not a big deal for me unless the rules change and we can't have unlimited loans for this age group. All the time we can, I think we'll keep bringing them in, loaning them out and seeing if they can make the 1st team if not bring in a healthy transfer fee.

What must not happen though is a lack of path to our first team because of having a bloated squad. I was thinking yesterday how Ash Phillips might have dealt with that game when compared to Dragusin. Phillips is having a stellar season at Stoke and it is possible he might get promoted to our squad next season. If not, I bet we turn him into a profitable venture if we go down the path of selling him.

Aaron McGuire played his first 1st team
Game of his career to day for my local club Hampton & Richmond. He had a very shakey start. Probably cost the first goal and poor punching out for the 2nd calmed down in the 2nd half. But him and the team improved in the 2nd half and scored 2 stoppage time goals to get a point 2-2!
 
Lankshear sent off again :D

Oh and yet again it seems we've fudged up a loan - Yang was getting decent game time at Portsmouth, and we decide to rip that loan up and give him to Coventry where he is lucky to get 5 minutes at the end of a game....

Heard about Lankshear on R5 Live. They mentioned it being a ‘nasty’ elbow, or something like that.

I can. Absolute joke. He turns into him, there is no visual, no malice, no intent. Coventry player makes a meal of it.
 
I’ve decided I really need to start watching our youth teams more, the first team is giving me very little joy with the way it’s run currently.

It will also mean I actually get some use out of Spurs play given I normally get it, watch the pre season friendlies, cash in whatever voucher they provide that year for the shop and then forget its existence.

Are the youth leagues (pardon the ignorance) usually shown on a similar calendar to prem games? I.e Saturdays and Wednesday nights?

Edit** it’s ok, I was being lazy! Just found the schedule page on Spursplay!
