Dane Scarlett

Troy Parrott scored 2 goals against Portugal a few days ago and yesterday got a hattrick, and we sold him for just £6.7m. Not only did I think he deserved a chance, how did we mange to sell him for so little. Parrott looks sharper than Richarlison at the moment. It would be sad if Scarlett does not get a chance here. I fear he will end up moving for the benefit of his career, and so he should, and we will regret it.
It is all hindsight, a lot of players need to move to other surroundings to help with development. Troy went on various loans and came back and was seen as not good enough, if he had stayed he may not have turned into the player he is now. When you sell someone who isn't really well known and they have not been hitting the numbers you won't get a very good fee for them, there is a reason why he went to the team he is at and no bigger teams came in for him.

We probably have a sell on percentage in the deal.

Has joined Hibs on loan. Good luck to him, looking forward to watching him develop and getting some proper game time....

Last 18 months of his contract, so needs to find somewhere to make a mark. SPL feels a bit too low for him, but then I guess he struggled in the championship last time out.

Normally I’d lament recently recovered Solanke, and usually disinterested Kolo Muani being our only forwards, but let’s face it Dane wasn’t getting a kick anyway.

Shame it’s to a Mickey Mouse league but it’s given Moore some playing time so hopefully both come back and either get a chance or get a way to actually start making something of their careers. I guess for Mikey he’s younger at least.

Only trusting him from 90 minutes onwards does no one any favours does it? Makes sense to let him go out and get some minutes somewhere, anywhere, rather than stay here for that.

Thats what I mean, if he isn’t going to get a kick here he needs to go somewhere he will. I don’t think he’s looked too bad when he’s got minutes here and there, he needs to be somewhere he’s going to get as close to 90 each week as possible.

I’m a bit concerned the best he can get is Scottish premiership, but who knows maybe this is the one where he really finds his way.
