Xavi Simons

Palinhna & Muani both specifically mentioned Frank and how well he spoke to them about the club before they signed
It means very little, it's just a modern day soundbite. There were several players who referenced Anges call before they joined. All clubs managers speak to the player before they join these days, so obviously they are going to talk about it in a positive light and a reason they joined...

True enough. But Simons' specific point was telling. That Frank told him how he (Frank) wanted to improve Simons and that hit a chord.

I can imagine the signing of Xavi will focus the minds of other players like Kulu and Madds as they return.

Our new signing has the chance to really shine whilst they are re-habbing. Hopefully there will be a day in 2026 (this season) where all 3 are available to Frank on match day.
I may be getting my hopes up slightly high very early before he's kicked s ball, but I kinda think he'll improve most players around him while also as you say putting pressure on the people that he's competing with for a starting spot.

Yeah, I guess Frank will need to remove some expectation and pressure on him. He's a young guy who can be creative, hard working and even a 1 in 3 scorer. He is a game changer but the PL is a tough environment and he'll need time to settle.

Nah, expecting him to be the perfect fit game changer from his first game. Then go from strength to strength from there 😉

One day I'd love to see a player come out with "Well this just seems like the best move for career, the manager doesn't seem to know what he's doing but I can't see that being a problem for too long anyways."

The thing I took from that video, apart from Xavi’s quality of course, is how much more I enjoyed it without the usual music overlay.

The sound of the commentators, the sound of the crowd made it a lot more exciting and watchable. I usually can’t get through the music versions (with or without sound) but I found this one very easy and enjoyable. I learnt something about myself with this!

If this guy does some of that for us, he'll be the new Dele won't he? If he can score in his first couple of games, we could have a monster on our hands....

Gil is the one who has made me very wary of YouTube comps. Like five minutes straight of him skinning people. Don’t remember a time he beat even one man in our shirt.
