Son Heung-Min

Now the celebration makes sense 😢

Of all the departures over the years this is probably the hardest. Sheringham, Ginola, Berbatov, Keane, Modric, King, VDV, Bale, Kane and the rest of the 2017 side. It always hurt, was tough, but seeing Sonny leave has actually hit hard, much harder than I thought. From when I awoke to the news last week to these videos, it has been quite emotional. A true gent and absolutely brilliant footballer up there with some of the best this amazing club has had to offer.

Even my Gooner mate along with countless Gooner and Chelsea and neutral youtube comments say only good things about him.

Such combined longevity and ability is a rarity these days, at any club. Looking forward to his testimonial and who knows, his statue.

Take care Sonny, gone but far from forgotten. Absolute legend.

My wife passed away last year. She never could understanding my love for Tottenham, but she loved Sonny and was instrumental in getting his name on my twins shirts. Because in her words “that’s a role model”
We’re all in bits now, and you know what? It’s ok. What an amazing player and human. And yes, role model to my kids.
Nice one Sonny

I don’t really cry at much. There were massive moments in my life, happy and sad, where I didn’t cry. I’m fudging blubbing like a kid here.

This fella is a hero. If you’d told me when he signed what he’d become, I’d have laughed you out of court. But when so many others took their world class talents elsewhere to win things, he stayed here to do it. Dedicated the best years of his career to being successful at Tottenham and to making Tottenham successful. Never threatened to leave, never put stories in the press, always looked happy and proud to wear our shirt. He’s one of us. The loyalty should tell you that. If it doesn’t, the emotion in that video certainly does.
