The Official 2023/24 Premier League Thread

If Burnley beat us and Forest lose to Chelsea next week, their game on the final day could be a relegation decider.
 
Not always Carra's biggest fan on comms but he's nailed it on the atmosphere feeling more like going to the opera. I bet he'll get in trouble with the producers for not hyping up the product but it's a dull watch in regards to drama.

It's an odd consequence of being so good I guess, it's kind of expected that they'll win the league so no real excitement or trepidation. If you love football it's hard not to enjoy watching what they do, it speaks volumes that a double will just be a bit of a meh season.

It's be nice if Wolves could be as bad against us once in a while....

Havertz clearly trails his rear leg intentionally to make contact with the goalkeeper. That cannot be a penalty. The one thing VAT should get right is penalty calls. Mind-blowing.

But… it’s still winning the pen rather than being awarded it
The disallowed one was a joke on so many aspects

The point though, is VAR. It’s all well and good deceiving the pitch ref in the moment by “drawing the foul / instigating contact” and all that shyte but VAR was supposed to put an end to it.
