Son is not the guy, he is so shocking in possession its unreal. He breaks up every attack, bang average when he is not scoring goals. 100% a form player.
 
We need some drastic player changes this summer still, said it before but I over stated the quality of these players. Worryingly we seem to be getting the twilight years of Maddison and his legs, he just isn't getting round the pitch, isn't getting past a player.

We need depth badly...
 
Seriously, what has happened to Maddison? He's not even half the player he was at the start of the season, where he bossed the midfield like a budget Xavi. Have we regressed that much?

Davies has been finished a LB for years but the fans don't want to accept it for some reason.

Out attack is poor imo, the quality of the players is poor. Only Son is of top quality and even he has declined physically somewhat. I made a post a few months saying we need to be harsh and make tough decisions on the summer. I just don't want to sleep walk into next season being a forward lien of Werner, Son/Richie, Johnson. That's not a forward line that can achieve much.

Or a system that protects the defence better.

It's like with any system, if you do it poorly it doesn't matter what system you use. Lazy and poor analysis always blames zonal system.

We are bossing possession. Had the better chances. More than them. The only good goal they scored could also have been a penalty to us. No way should be be losing like this.

But. CORNERS. It's now a very big issue. Vicario will need to improve or be dropped.

Even Saka's goal mightn't have happened if not for the penalty shouts being a distraction.
