    Entering a semifinal means very little if you don't win it. Teams that lost cup finals will be remembered as failures, if anything at all, let alone semifinalists.     I think he will go down as our manager with the worst record in the PL. Part of the reason is we usually sack managers at the first sign of trouble but he was allowed to stay on although it was quite clear (at least to me) what was going to unfold. So that's the irony - you can't really compare...

    AFAIK only Man utd and us played 9 games across all competitions in December, unless you also count Arsenal who played their league game on 30 Nov instead of 1 Dec like many others (including us) did.

    I have no idea how we should have set up but for starters it's definitely not a lost 99 of a 100 games. Their league record this season is 12 wins, 3 draws and 1 loss in 16 games - a win ratio of 75%. FFS Ange can't do it doesn't mean others can't do it!

    Because Ange sounds a bit dodgy on him, no? "Djed has had to bide his time. To be fair, it's the one area of the pitch where we've had cover this year with Archie playing at right-back, so he's had to be patient."

    Tonight just shows how criminal Ange has been in mismanaging him. Udogie's injury could have been avoided if there is more rotation against lesser opposition. The question is after tonight is he still going to treat him like a fringe player or not. I really don't know.

    To be fair any manager can look clueless with key players out. You just need to look at Pep and earlier Arteta for examples. The key question is has he shown enough to earn more time and whether the injuries are just down to bad luck or something else and not his play style. I am not convinced...

    Which goes to the other point I wanted to say but decided to keep it to others to interpret themselves - Angeball won't get you very far into the season because of the intensity required. It won't last too long if all you are doing is asking your players to go gung-ho week in week out?
