    The goons and City have 2 games each before we play City....so hopefully either the title direction could be set or we'll know if we have any chance of catching Villa. What I'm saying is I fudging hope by then our game against City isnt a lose lose game for us.

    All the comps have no teams dropping down into to the lower competition from next season. Which is a good thing. (They might do in the very early qualification rounds...that hopefully we'll never be part of)

    No. the second in the group played the extra round against a CL drop in that finished third in their CL group. The winners then joined the 8 group winners to form Rnd 16.

    It's only really 2 extra games (move aside fa cup replays:)). Last season you could end up in the extra round before R16. I think you need 8 games to really get an accurate conclusion in a league with that many teams. It's 15 or 17 games to go all the way.
