Win our games that's the guarantee of staying up.

    Rodrigo Bentancur

I think the midfield worked well as a unit in Villa game, something that's not happened that often. Their experience helped greatly, Bergvall and Gray have real potential but have had to carry too much expectation this season particularly with changing teams and tactics. So many young midfield...

    João Palhinha

He's a professional, doesn't sulk or go on social media to moan. At Bayern he was in a team that rarely get beat and never get outplayed, there was nothing for him to do, classic spare prick at a wedding not a flop.

That simple ball from Gallacher to Spence is something we rarely do, usually pass inside or back in those situations, so park football no sophistication, no white boards, little bit of paper or pages of notes, just football

I've never been a believer in the let's keep it tight and steady at start of games, you've got to put your opponents on the back foot and set the tempo. You can't flip a switch and the whole team change gear, players have got into to low intensity style and it difficult to do.

Palhinha may not be a perfect midfielder and lack the quality we see in others but in most of the games I've seen him play he is trying to hold the team together with his effort and experience. I think we've missed that in games and he has set better leadership qualities than we have seen from...

*** The official 2025/26 Premier League thread ***

It's what happens when players are drilled to play a rigid system rather than expressing themselves. The top teams have a couple players that lift them from the robotic horde.

    So, what happened today?

We've become great grandparents today, my granddaughter had a little boy, got to work on him as soon as I can and get a 5th generation Spurs fan.

Shame on them and all other "professionals footballers" who have to be told how to play as they don't have enough common sense not to make foolish errors.

I get your point, I feel strongly that the development system in this country is not working. The step from what was youth football use to be a reserve team now over 18 players don't get exposed to playing against experienced players just their peers. I believe 5 subs is more than enough to...

I agree it's a test of character but the use of so many substitutes in football has ruined so many careers of all ages, too many decent players do not get to play regularly and no matter how many medals you get sitting on your arse it doesn't compensate for not playing regularly, I'd have given...

I agree in terms of their performances but some loans do help the development of certain players in other ways, we'll get a good idea next season.

    So, what happened today?

I love virtually all music, the world would be soulless with out it. Dislike the versions or arrangement of some, particularly "power ballads" where someone try to be as loud as possible prolonging sounds into primal noises. It's an age thing I suppose.

Scoring goals gets teams promoted which is worrying for us if we go down.

You can understand why so many other fans don't like us, a lot of our fans don't show other teams any respect and brag we can beat anyone easily. If we do go down every team will be out to beat us.
