    If I remember rightly we didn't play any prep games locally or actually against anyone, hence the whitewash. Players could branch off and play shield cricket as the Aussies come here and at least prep in the conditions. We play nothing and protect the players with contracts and then wonder...

    I don't disagree mate, but I think that pressure also comes from an archaic view to education and the idea that all kids are going to be academically focused the same, just on different scales of learning and aptitude. I don't want pressure on teachers I want the pressure off those teachers...

    But its often sold as a pre requisite of that and also, if I am not mistaken, its an "option" not something thats sold in to kids as a guidance for life regardless, unless I am wrong there?

    Cool for those whonwant a sports science degree or career in a similar field. There is no doubt in my mind that there is not enough to prepare kids for life in terms of food skills and budgeting for life.
