    I think that’s the key. I’m not sure we make anywhere close to the reported fee if he doesn’t succeed here. We need to get the balance right of being able to shift to Europe if it’s doesn’t work vs reflect the potential upside if it does work out. I’d say £35-40m feels about right, £50m too dear.

    And it’s for that reason that 2019 hurt us all so, so, so much. It would’ve meant so much more, an achievement that would’ve been hard to eclipse in our lifetimes… Not just because it was the CL - vs the league cup - but because of HOW we had got there and for the journey we’d been on.
