I think this one is probably at least a couple of weeks old.

Has anyone seen a comparison between new stadium and athletico's new stadium? In terms of distance to pitch from seats, and gradient of the stands

From watching their game against Chelsea last week, it looks like our stands will be a lot closer to the pitch.

NWHL will be closer on all sides and have a steeper rake. Atletico used an old stand built for athletics and built around it, hence the main stand not joining the rest of the stadium in the upper tiers. It's not perfect for football.

wow.....the atmosphere will be quite intimidating due to the closeness of the stands to the pitch. Its all very very compact. Its remarkable how theyve managed to get a capacity of 61k into such an intimate feeling stadium

That's still down to us though. But I agree the club (especially levy) has pulled out everything to make it intimidating and awesome.
The single tier stand is such a great statement, at bare minimum it's a call to the noisy ones amongst us. 'if you wanna be noisy......get yourself in there' . A conductor for the rest of the stadium and (I pray) unwavering support and energy when things aren't going right.
